Why should it matter to you?

I paid attention in Con Law for maybe 5 minutes total today, and I would bet $20 it is my best grade. Class time is utterly worthless is most classes.
Like I said, I'm probably just jealous. I take notes on a paper notebook and it doesn't do any cool stuff.

I can only come to one of three conclusions: 1) you are confused as to where you are, 2) you got into one of these schools and you are showing off to everyone else (in which case... wtf are you doing here?), or 3) you bought the shirt before getting rejected.

In any case, you should go to the bookstore and get yourself a Wash U shirt to straighten things out.
I've used a flash-drive that I got from WUSTL and some other random knick-knacks from other schools, but wearing a t-shirt is pretty absurd. Haven't seen any of that here.

Following with the theme of the day, I vehemently disagree with this.

To each their own. I just don't feel very challenged and I don't think I get much out of it.

I enjoy the their perspectives and their specific analytical approaches to the material they'll be tested on, and I think it's the place that A's are born. Also helps to make sure you're not learning something wrong in the textbook. Different strokes mang.

I'm with you. 90% of classes I've already picked up in my notes whatever the prof is talking about. On days where I'm lost, I usually need to puzzle through it on my own and class doesn't do the work for me.

Side note--this has nothing to do with my profs, who, for the most part, are pretty great. This is entirely how I have reacted to education my entire schooling life.

Property though . . . ugh. I'm reaching to find ways to make me NOT hate it. Doesn't help that much of class time is consumed with people posing terrible overcomplicated hypos.

I think I saw a guy walking around here the other day with a Duke Law t-shirt. Thought it was pretty funny, although he might have just been a transfer student.

Actually starting to understand/enjoy CivPro after finally cracking open the E&E and working through the first 6 or 7 chapters. Hopefully Chemerinsky's treatise can do the same for Con Law, because that class is making even less sense.

I need to work through ConLaw too. Still have issues organizing. Property has a syllabus and Crim has a casebook that is easily organized and we are going in order. ConLaw is all over the place and the work I've done with Chem so far isn't helping (since we're going chronologically rather than by Article or topic). I'm sure it will fit together eventually, but right now I'm having difficulties.

Every time I open my casebook to start the reading and see it's either a Posner or Easterbrook opinion, I want to kill somebody.

When I open abovethelaw and see my school knowingly misreported admissions data, I want to kill myself. Or in the alternative, transfer. Temple, here I come.

I just can't bring myself to give a fuck about going to half my classes. It doesn't make any difference if I do or not.

I got cold called in all of my classes today and because of the snow days, I read everything so long ago I couldn't recall the annoyingly tiny facts everyone wanted.

AND law school anxiety caused me to develop this/go to the ER because I thought I was having a heart attack: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diffuse_esophageal_spasm

That's why you should do all of your reading at least twice. Just in case.

I just looked and read the article and I thought, HOLY COW! Stop the presses! Law schools intentionally giving false information?

Honestly, this article is actually not helpful to the cause of "transparency," because it makes it look like this is an isolated incident. And who cares about false admissions information? The real issue is the pervasive and blatant false information being peddled by schools with respect to career data.

Everyone knows about the employment gaming data at this point (and if you don't, you're hiding under a rock). Falsifying admissions data is a different story, and if it were my school, I'd be pretty upset.

Then again, my school put on a 1L event today that I was really not pleased with (and no, this wasn't a political/religious thing... more on the subject of job stuff and giving students false hope; made me want to punch a wall and go off on a JDU-esque rant ). It's sad because my school has been pretty transparent with us regarding everything up until today's event.

Our school said there are no jobs and put on an event explaining alternate career paths with your JD in the current economy. How is that for transparency?
