math/rank help
last year mean GPA was 2.92
25% was 3.19
median was 2.71
i'm at 3.09 right now (with one class to come in). what is my current, approximate, class rank?
thanks in advance for you math geeks.

Re: math/rank help
I'd estimate 66th percentile, so right at the top 1/3 cutoff

Re: math/rank help
You aren't going to get a good approximation because the median and mean are so different. Top 1/3 is a good guess.ohnowtf wrote:last year mean GPA was 2.92

Re: math/rank help
I don't mean to interrupt, but I have a class rank question and it seems like yours was answered
If my GPA has remained the same both semesters, should I expect my class rank to remain the same?
Specifically top 2%...do people in the top 10 of the class generally bounce out and in at the same rate?
Thanks in advance
