Wow this thread is depressing.... Do firms generally push you out if you're not going to make partner? How long do you generally last in the firm before that happens? I'd like to at least be able to pay off my loans.

I have a couple of friends who are professionals and have seriously considered freezing some eggs for use later on. Is this a good option?

Not really. Freezing eggs is still considered "experimental." Freezing embryos has a better track record, but obviously you need to have already found the person you want to have kids with (or a sperm donor, I guess).swc65 wrote:I have a couple of friends who are professionals and have seriously considered freezing some eggs for use later on. Anyway, I think there are other risks besides lack of/age of the eggs in terms of older women getting pregnant.

there's nothing inherently tacky about an expensive wedding. however, there is something inherently tacky about your expensive wedding.hellokitty wrote: What's tacky about an expensive wedding?

Nah, there's no point really. I already know Booya's stance on the things I like. I say to-may-to, to-mah-to. If you don't want an expensive wedding don't have one. There's no way I'll make mine under 200k, just because I've basically already got it planned and the venue itself will be probably 50k, dress 12k, etc. To each her own.lsat_fear wrote:fightbooyakasha wrote:there's nothing inherently tacky about an expensive wedding. however, there is something inherently tacky about your expensive wedding.hellokitty wrote: What's tacky about an expensive wedding?

Just curious since you said you already have your wedding planned, are you engaged? Or in a relationship?hellokitty wrote:Nah, there's no point really. Spending 6X your future annual salary on your first wedding seems totally reasonable to me.hellokitty wrote:Let's not derail the thread guys.
