Another thing I thought about: Are the 10 experimental questions equally distributed between AM and PM session?

Or if you got 30/50 right on the NYMC, you only need a raw score of 126 on the MBE. With a score of 4 for all essays and the MPT!!!
That sounds about right to me. A raw score of 126 on the MBE is ~140 scaled- almost an average score. 30/50 NYMC is an average score. And 4 on the essays is only slightly below average. Remember, you only need avoid the bottom 25% or so to pass.

I don't know if they are distributed evenly, but I somehow managed to leave one of my bubbles unfilled and realized it just as time was called. Turns out it was likely an experimental question - awwww yeah.

Agree with the harder/easier theory too, I was pressed for time in the morning and there was a bunch of educated (and some non-educated) guessing, then in the afternoon I finished early and had a decent amount of time to review.

And more realistically you only need to avoid the bottom 10-12% (assuming you are a first time ABA taker).

Pretty close. Lots of xbox and playing with the kids have helped. Also got all my materials stowed away in the basement.

Results Thursday at noon.

Past the fear of humiliation, past the fear of withdrawn offer. Just don't want to have to do it again.

Good luck!

Still have a month to wait here. Wavering between terror and forgetting I ever took it.

Hardly a day goes by without my office mate at work and me reliving the horrors of the bar exam. We both have a month to go before we hear the results. I dread the day and fear the worst. I don't want to do this again, and I don't want to be fired.

I just dread the humiliation of failing the Massachusetts Bar. I hade trouble with the MPRE (i think it was because I didn't take it seriously enough) and that is making me fear the MBE portion of the exam results (not that I will find out how i did on the MBE if I passed the Mass Bar as they don't release their scores for passing students).

Good luck all you guys, and I hope we all have cause for celebration!

So after passing the NY bar in 2008 and working for two years.. I'll be taking the bar exams in NJ and RI during the FEB 2011 administration.. First time around I knocked out about a 160 or so on the MBE. However, I'm a little worried about repeating the performance. I'm also concerned that studying is going to be a bitch while working... Anyone work full time while studying?

I did until the last few weeks. It was exhausting. But I'm guessing if you got a 160 on the MBE the first time around, you are probably fine. Plus, isn't NJ pretty much just MBE subjects?

Yeah... I think I'm just concerned that I've forgotten it all and will have to re-learn it lol..

Congratulations, Del_Dad!

About a month to go for us in NY. Still not sure I actually want to know.

Thanks guys. My co-clerk is also waiting on New York until next month. Two months waiting was rough; although I don't envy the extra weeks you've all got, I'm sure you have good news waiting for you.

Just got my Mass result and passed today.

Now I need to wait to be sworn in, then I am underemployed!

Congrats. :D So far, everyone in the thread seems to be passing. Hope us NYers get the same good news in a few weeks.

Hopefully it's less than a few weeks. Last year was Nov 5th.

Any thoughts on the release date for NY?

All4JD's is saying that Barbri sent out a similar email (saying results were a week away) last year, but the results came out on a Friday.

Is that really true? I do wonder where BarBri's information is coming from. And why the bar people can't send us a two-line e-mail saying "bar results will be released on November X."

(I'm still not sure I want to know the result. I'm scared.)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
