Ok, so I need a new laptop. Luckily, I work for PwC and am able to get special corporate/employee pricing from both these brands. I am not all that knowledgable regarding computers so I was hoping I could get some good info from fellow tech-savy TLS'ers. Thanks in advance for all your input.

i've always been a Thinkpad man. Great customer service.
that and the bigger HDD justify the purchase I think.
also I'd be stunned if that Sony battery actually got 4 hours.

I'd say the battery would be more important than the HDD. You can always buy external HDDs for cheap.

Lenovo Thinkpad was the best computer I ever had before I got my Mac. If I went back to windows for work or something I'd get another one.

Thinkpad
A) Better Computer
B) Major issues with Sony Vaio computers in the past
C) It has T14 in the name. It has to be good.

The thread title and the poll are typoed. The laptop is a Thinkpad T410 (as is correctly noted in the content of OP's post.)
That said, I'm typing this snark on my T410 right now. I love this laptop so much... I want to have its babies.
Buy this laptop.
