radios on ships
I apologize in advance for asking after this here, but I just had a close friend die, and I want to cite case in a letter to a lawmaker.
But I can't remember the case.
I think the majority opinion was written by Holmes, probably sometime between 1902 and 1932, and the court held that radios on ships should be mandatory. I'm pretty sure it was a civil suit.
Also: what are the best web forums to ask questions like this?
Thanks,
Scott

My condolences as well.Drake014 wrote:Same here. I'm sorry about your friend.A'nold wrote:Crap, I know exactly what case you are talking about but also don't remember the name.
The weird thing is that I rarely forget case names, but I think this case was in the notes of my book or something.

I would just like to point out that I approve of radios on ships. I also think that basic cable is a must.

It would have been 172 if you mentioned pay per view porn.Drake014 wrote:I'll take it.mikeytwoshoes wrote:166Drake014 wrote:I would just like to point out that I approve of radios on ships. I also think that basic cable is a must.

There is only one "i" in gimme. For helpful discussion and links (seriously) seeDrake014 wrote:Even if I left out the second "i" in gimmie?mikeytwoshoes wrote:It would have been 172 if you mentioned pay per view porn.Drake014 wrote:I'll take it.mikeytwoshoes wrote: 166

Nah, the right way of spelling it just hasn't caught on yet. Give it time, give it time.mikeytwoshoes wrote:There is only one "i" in gimme. It's a non-standard word meaning give me, not give mie.Drake014 wrote:Nah, the right way of spelling it just hasn't caught on yet. I like how it only took a few posts to devolve from death to porn.

Dude, just because two words make up a new word doesn't mean that it should be spelled the same way, haha.mikeytwoshoes wrote:A'nold is wrong.A'nold wrote:The A'nold officially declares.............................................gimmie.
Gimme sounds like some kind of Spanish or French word.

Oh please. Because I took half a second to apologize to some guy who'll probably never even check the thread again for helping it go off course? Don't hate because your defended spelling is wrong.A'nold wrote:All should bow down to the hero of this thread, thalassocrat.

It's Hooper. Thank you very much for your help. Were my friend's medical records in the cloud, she would likely still be alive, and her seven YO little girl would still have a mother.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
