Note: I've also kicked it at some girl's place when she had female roommates. Their place is about the same as mine post-roommate. Again, good luck.

fun read. forgot about this other thread. sounds like you just got a bad seed though. all the girls I know who live on their own have apartments that perpetually look/smell like they were staged by a professional decorator.

Ive lived with a total whackjob of a roomate for 2 years in UG ( he was okay the first year- the second year,he totally flipped out and was nuts... I mean certifiably insane.... There are always issues and problems that pop up from time - to time. If you can handle it, great, go for it. If not, then live alone.

Ive also lived alone while working after school. Coming home to an apt after a stressful day was great, I could yell, scream, guzzle 8 beers ( its an exaggeration) and pass out watching sportscenter, or play nintendo as long as I wanted( wii sports is a great stress reliever amd a good drinking game too) If i wanted someone to hang out with, then id call a friend- just like in millionaire. If I went on a trip, I knew that the place would be just as i left it when i came back

Basically, it all boils down to what you like, and if you can afford it. If you weigh all the costs and stress factors, living alone is just as cost effective as living with a roomate( unless you live in a big metro where rent is skyhigh). If you get lonely or bored- get a pet, find a hobby that you can do at home from time to time, or excpand your cell phone plan and call all of your friends who arent at law school periodically to check in or whatnot. Ill be going to law school in the fall of 2011 and im pretty sure i will be living alone. Since I will be moving to a new area, ill just do my homework, find a safe place, with a reptuable landlord, thats near other students/ bars, what not.

good luck with whatever you do. remember leases are only a year long, if it doesnt work, then change and move on.

Okay, sounds like YOU THREE were the whackjobs (the obvious drinking issues don't help in the picture, either).
