JD/MD/MBA/PHD? What can I do w/ it? Anyone pursuing or know
I am a OL now, and have always wanted to also earn an MD, MBA, and PHD for various reasons. I feel like I am familiar with what one can do with each of the respective degrees separately but I am not sure what people do with them together.
Any insight?

I am in the same boat. Except, I would also like to earn a pilots license and CPA. I understand that studying for six professional degrees is not as hard as everyone makes it out to be. I am confident that it will be a breeze.
But what will I do with them all when I get out? Be an academic lawyer doctor business accountant pilot?

No offense... but what a waste of $$. Pick 2 and focus... or you might end up as the jack of all trades, master of none.

Yeah, he was working on his 7th when I met him.nycparalegal wrote:seriously?Philo38 wrote:I know a guy with 6 BAs
He is atleast in his 60s, I don't know what he does for money but apparently he just goes to college classes all day and racks up degrees. He had a very indifferent attitude towards it, like he was just doing it because he was bored. He was an interesting dude.

Ahh, you know some schools like Penn State provide tuition at dirt-cheap prices for the retired.Philo38 wrote:Yeah, he was working on his 7th when I met him.nycparalegal wrote:seriously?Philo38 wrote:I know a guy with 6 BAs

I guess the thinking is that they are expanding into a market that normally wouldnt pay full-value or close to full-value for college.

That probably explains it. I think they should let them go for free, there is hardly a more valuable addition to your students education than to have a senior in your class.nycparalegal wrote:Ahh, you know some schools like Penn State provide tuition at dirt-cheap prices for the retired.Philo38 wrote:Yeah, he was working on his 7th when I met him.nycparalegal wrote:seriously?Philo38 wrote:I know a guy with 6 BAs

Not a bad plan. Just stay in school and max out student debt (none of which requires repayment white in school) until you die.Philo38 wrote:He has nothing on this guy though: http://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/ind ... ounti.html
