I wonder how many people decided not to do OCI. Especially in the top 20-40% of the class.

I'm a highly motivated person and I thought about not doing OCI. Doing the bidding process right takes several workdays, there is no guarantee you will get any interviews, if you get the interviews they could just be pity/lottery interviews, etc...

This question doesn't apply to PI people who bid on DA/PD listings.

Anyone know people in the top half of our class that didn't do OCI?

I don't know where my friends are ranked in the class. I actually haven't talked to anyone from school in a while either. I have a feeling they aren't doing oci though.

Lol, yeah I was asking about the SEIU strike. Unfortunately, I work right next to the MUNI stop where the other protest was happening, so I confused myself.

As to the OCI non-participating students, I know two in the top 33% which aren't. They want to practice uncommon niches of law so they have to mass mail. They've already sent out apps way ahead of OCI.

It feels so good to be done bidding!!!!!!!

I thought I could, but I can't, I just fucking can't write more cover letters. I keep trying to add more firms, but they all require them. I give up. I'm staying with my 35 bids.

I misspelled one word in the boilerplate part of my cover letter = changing EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY COVER LETTERS!!! At least this provided an incentive to apply to a handful more firms during the process.

Haha, I did the same thing last night. Stupid template had a two concurrent spaces in there.

I want the next two years to last forever. The prospect of actually working is not appealing. I prefer the life of an academic (aka, being lazy 90% of the time).

I go nd forth. Working is ok but getting boring. Being a law student is somewhat fun, but really stressful because of the uncertainty about your future. I'm getting worried about how busy I'll be next year too, and I'm really not looking forward to that.

From what I've heard, a lot of their decisions go out in the last week of July.

I was planning on pretending that OCI (and jerbs) doesn't exist until we get our screener list. Mass mailing? What's that?
