There's a typo on the writing competition page and it's really starting to annoy me.

I am seriously contemplating calling and asking. If they don't post it today, we likely won't be able to have the information before bids are due. If they tell us Monday, I won't be able to update my resume & upload it to symplicity at work.

It's on the website, not the packet. It says westleaw then some weird grammatically incorrect clause.

I got Hanson Bridgett for Mock Interviews. The slots went FAST.

I heard a 3L scheduling an appointment in the CSO for her "doomed future legal career."

I went near EOD yesterday and there were about 8 interviewers remaining. I did a quick look-up on all the firm interviwers:

Types
2 IP Lit
4 General Lit
2 Transactional/Corporate

Firms
Hanson Bridget
Sedgwick
Keker

Drawing a blank on the rest of the firms.

i was kind of wanting to do multiple mock interviews, i mean i think id ideally like to do 4-5 practice sessions before OCI.

is there any other resource/way we can do mock interviews? suggestions?

The Asian Pacific American Bar Association hosts an annual mock interview program. I don't think you need to be a member.

to weaselology, if you're still around, or anyone else for that matter:

is there any value that comes of submitting for the resume collections? particularly for the ones that require cover letters, i'm finding it difficult to make the effort

also - does anyone know how those work in HCO? when i just hit apply without listing the resume collection as a bid, nothing happens (i think). are they just listing recruiter info and its up to us to email resumes & docs to the address listed?

Submit them. A few do, in fact, lead to interviews. It's annoying, but it only requires putting in a little bit of annoying effort now for a potentially big payoff later.

Regarding the bid stuff for resume collections - if it is anything like last year, you actually assigned a bid number for resume collects and then you got more bids added to your total. I remember it was really confusing and I had to call Careers Services to figure out how to do it.

I mailed only a handful of firms. Off the top of my head: Buchalter Nemer, Graham & Dunn, Frandzel Robins. Unless you are interested in banking/commercial loan restructuring, these are probably not places you want to target.
