At the law school events, try to beat my free beer record. I think I hit 10 last year.

I like you.kk19131 wrote:I had five at the open house a few months ago.
FYI Red Mass is a law school event in late October where they host some fancy event in the lobby with beer/wine and a bunch of hors d'oeuvres and then there's an after party at a bar on the mainline.

Ann Juliano did the mock class at Admitted Students Day and she was AWESOME. I am so jealous you got her.

I'm guessing you're a Section C student (if they still set them up like they did wayyyy back when I was a 1L) since you have the same Civ Pro and Torts professors I did. Out of that list, I've only had Juliano and Moreland. They are both really great professors that I can't really say a single negative thing about. Juliano is extremely nice and approachable, and Moreland is very humorous in a dry kind of way.kk19131 wrote:What can people tell me about these professors:

Thanks for the info!
So, what's the consensus on where to buy books...? Do most people just go to the bookstore, or is online a better deal?

Amazon, lawbooksforless, and half.com are all much better resources than buying through the bookstore. The bookstore always charges full price, whereas Amazon usually has deals. A lot of people like lawbooksforless, but I've never used it.

Re: Villanova Law Class of 2014
Hey guys,
I was just recently accepted and am very seriously considering attending over the school I am currently set up for. Admissions sent me an email, I checked status checker, and then found out their office closes noon on Fridays (doh) so I have absolutely no info for admitted students. Can anyone just give me a heads up into their process post acceptance? I realize mine might be a little different deadline wise, but anything out of the ordinary I should know about? I'm driving out there Monday to snoop around/pop my head into the admissions office, but was curious if any of my possible future classmates had any advice.
Thanks in advance, guys!
P.S. you all seem much, much cooler and more down to earth than the people at the law school I am currently set to attend. Seriously, the "class of 2014" group for that school is a bunch of people trying to sound smarter (and more stuffy) than they really are.

I don't want to comment on the post-acceptance process because I do not have all my stuff in order, but you should definitely come! Congrats and hope to see you there!acknox wrote:Hey guys,

Much of the process can be found online: http://www.law.villanova.edu/Admissions ... dents.aspx
If you have specific questions, then maybe that would be easier to answer...

Is it wise/is there any need to sign up for a meal plan? Does anyone do this?

For nightlife, it's Kellys, Brownies, Flip & Baileys, The Grog, and Maloney's. In terms of being an awesome bar/restaurant with an amazing beer selection and sweet Belgian food - Teresa's in Wayne.kk19131 wrote:Where are the closest/best bars?
