Re: Villanova Law Class of 2014
nova has the distributions graphed on their site...i sat there like a nerd and added it out: 1L's with a GPA over 3.17 made up 46% of the class (i looked at the fall 2010 GPA charts if anyone wants to check my math). It makes me nervous but i think its doable

Fair enough. But what I mean is that if you work hard, you won't have a problem getting a 3.15. If it were a 3.5, then I would reconsider hah.irishvt14 wrote:I'd rather know I was getting the $25k renewed than have it hanging over my head.mikeyp wrote:honestly, i wouldn't worry about a 3.15 stipulation.irishvt14 wrote:Yeah that's an awesome deal. I have $25k but 3.15 gpa stip and I'm 163/3.32, I am thinking of trying to get them to drop it.

You're right, I'm sure. But there's something about the guarantee that makes it better lolz

Re: Villanova Law Class of 2014
In many ways, I'm disappointed to inform everyone that I won't be attending Villanova after all =(
I was accepted off of FSU's wait list, and with the in-state tuition in mind + beginning to realize I don't want out of FL, it makes sense to accept.
Villanova is a wonderful school and I want to wish everyone the best of luck! I hope that my scholly + grant go to someone in need!

You go through sensitivity training, and you immediately find out who all the gunners are. They give you hypos about socially/racially/culturally sensitive topics and you have to figure out how to react. Unfortunately, I'm not kidding. However, everyone bonds over the absurdity of the exercise lol. Oh, there will also be AWESOME pens at orientation. Nice ones that say Villanova law. Take like 15 of them, you'll thank me later (and you can take some for me if you want).irishvt14 wrote:Okay, answer me this:

As long as you don't start talking about assault and battery in relation to someone taking and putting up pictures on facebook of someone drunk at a bar you'll be alright. Luckily, said persons were not in my section (THANK YOU GOD).irishvt14 wrote:I'm so insensitive. Any thoughts on where to live? Do most students live relatively near campus or more towards Philly?beach_terror wrote:Recently finished 1L here to answer questions if anyone has em.

Re: Villanova Law Class of 2014
I live in Radnor House, which is approximately a mile from the law school. Most students seem to live in the surrounding area (Bryn Mawr, Ardmore, etc.) but I do know a few live downtown. If you're up in the air about where to live, I highly recommend living close to the school just because SEPTA sucks and it runs on what seems like a perpetual delay during the winter. Radnor House isn't amazing, and it's overpriced, but it's cool because a) a lot of law students live there (I think it's 25% law students) and b) it's the closest apartment to the school, which is helpful when you typically roll out of bed at the last possible minute and realize you have 15 minutes before Torts starts (but it's not like you learn anything during torts class anyway)trotting wrote:Any thoughts on where to live?
