I wish I made it to Pixel. I had to run back to the city. How was it?

Huh. I had an amazing time and kinda fell in love with Ithaca yesterday. I think by and large the incoming class - at least what I saw of it - is a great group. FWIW though I probably would've had a bad time if I'd stayed at pixel too long.
Yeah, Ithaca was fun - good atmosphere with local wine and beer always helps!

Best thing about Pixel was standing outside of Pixel...!
It was ok, but the other bars were better.

This housing search is becoming such a pain in the ass. Anyone find a pretty decent place near the law school?

I'm currently a 1L. If anyone is looking for housing next year, I'm pretty sure the house I'm in still has three apartments available. I'm not sure on the sizing/pricing, but I'm in a 1 bedroom and will be paying $810 next year. The apartments come furnished, but if you have furniture they can make it fully/partially unfurnished for you. 10 minute walk to the law school (uphill), but just across the street from the bus. If I'm not running super late in the morning, I usually take the bus in the morning and then walk home (downhill) after class. The management company is really chill and pretty good about maintenance requests. It's also pet friendly, if you're into that (I have a cat, so it was necessary for me). So as not to spam the interwebs with my address/personal info, PM me and I'll give you the management company contact info.

So if I live uphill from campus I can commute via sled.

You've really sold me on Ithaca!

As long as my Segway can make it up, I'm sold as well.

I was there this weekend and the hills don't look bad. How much worse does the snow make them?

Can anyone tell me when Cornell’s seat deposit is due? I’m still waiting to hear and I’m getting antsy?

The $250 deposit must be postmarked by April 15. The second deposit, of $450 must be postmarked by May 16.

However, if you receive a late decision I believe they extend these deadlines as needed.

You don’t have to send a deposit until after you receive the financial aid award letter.

I'll be withdrawing. I had an amazing time at ASW and would love to attend, but Texas at $60k less is too good to pass up. To those of you I met last weekend, thanks for the great time and best of luck in the future. If I meet any decent genetic engineers, I'll be sure to send them your way :)
