Just admitted for the fall, so I figured I would start this topic. Is anyone else planning on attending Davis?

Maybe. It kind of sucks that financial aid info won't come out until May though...

The first deposit is due the 15th of April. I think final awards come out in May, but I received an email with an "financial aid estimate". It gave me an idea of how much $$ in grants/loans I am eligible for... but yeah, its not definite until May.

hi guys,
i am a current 1L at daivs. if u have any qns let me know. as far as the financial aid, i would say the school is pretty generous, even if you don't have a high lsat. from what i remember, your financial aid should come out earlier than may. i also highly encourage you to attend the open house to fully understand the dynamic of davis. and congrads on getting in!

What do y'all plan to do as far as housing? Davis is my likely destination assuming acceptance, and I'd like to room with another law student. Does anyone know if Davis provides some kind of roommate matching of their own?

sort of, it gives you a site where other Davis students post roommate adds. what really worked for my class was creating a fb group for admitted students to share general info, including roommate info

I haven't decided for sure but I'm seriously considering attending Davis. I'm guessing I'll know for sure after I visit for the Admitted Students Day on the 9th. Are you guys planning on going?

You should seriously consider starting a facebook page. That is how people figured out housing last year. My current roommates are graduating so if you need a place in Davis and want to live with a law student then reply to this post and I will get back to you.

TBMK, no one really uses whatever official UCD roommate finding site there is. Joining the c/o 2014 FB group is surely your best bet.

If anyone else is down, we should do a TLS meetup that night.

Also, Facebook was being an asshole when I tried to create a UC Davis Law c/o 2014 group...unless I was doing it wrong, I apparently needed other friends to invite into it before I can make the group. Which is impossible, since I don't have anyone else friended going to Davis. Someone halp?

I know it's a little early, but I'm home in Davis for spring break (I went to high school here) and have been looking at a new campus housing community that Davis is putting in... Are any girls who are likely going to Davis in the fall looking for a roommate?

I'm not sure about pricing on the units but they come furnished and have a ton of amenities in the community including a gym, 24 hour study lounge, and yoga room.

As far as I know there are 3 and 4 bedroom units available in this set of apartments:

Yea, I'm actually all set to live in a 3 bedroom next year! The two bedrooms run at around $1895 (don't have the exact number written down) and the 3 and 4 bedrooms just get cheaper per person as you add bedrooms (around $2400 for a 3 bedroom, $797-817 per person depending on bedroom size).

Anyone who is interested should really check them out, it'd be nice to get a little law school community going over there for next year!
