University of Florida c/o 2014
At the risk of having to live out the rest of my life as a Nole in exile, I've decided to attend the law school located on the campus that is known as the home of the Gat--, the Gatt-- (nope can't say it) Go Noles!
In all seriousness though, I'm happy about heading to Levin and look forward to Gainesville and what I believe is the best school for FL law career prospects (expecially tax).
So who else has decided to become apart of the UF Class of 2014? Represent and hope to see you all soon!

If I get in I will probably be there, unless I get into one of my reach schools which is unlikely.

UF is kind of a reach for me but if I get in, I'm most likely going.

I'm on opposite sides of UF's medians but if I get in I'm most likely going as I've been trying to get into UF for the last 4 years

My numbers are good for it, but I applied late and I'm nervous. Fingers crossed!

Seat deposit paid as well. Also found out that I got picked up for a new part-time Reserve job at MacDill which only requires me to do all my annual service during part of the summer when LS isnt in session, so no more having to worry about coming to Delaware during the summers or doing one weekend a month drills.

The Bartram!
I drove by the other day and decided to take a look just to see what they gave you for the money. I can't believe people actually live there!

I thought you had atleast 1 roommate found?thewarflamingo wrote:I have no idea yet, but my uncle is strongly considering investing in a 3 bedroom condo and then renting it out to me and two other law students that I find. So if anyone would be interested in something like that, let me know and I'll keep you updated! Preferably non-smokers though.Classygal87 wrote:Where is everyone who is attending planning on living?
I'm living in a house about 1.7 miles from the law school. Apparently thats "far" but I clocked less than 5 minutes driving from one to the other and I'm from a bigger city so that is NOTHING to me haha.

By the way, I'm fine with guy or girl roommates, I'm a girl fyi lolBarbie wrote:I thought you had atleast 1 roommate found?thewarflamingo wrote:I have no idea yet, but my uncle is strongly considering investing in a 3 bedroom condo and then renting it out to me and two other law students that I find. Anyone else kinda sad that some people are considering jumping ship and going to FSU because of a slight change in FSU's ranking? That seems absurd to me. The money difference I understand, but because of two points in the rankings?

I think it's more realizing that UF/FSU are pretty comparable, so it's hard to justify UF's higher cost.thewarflamingo wrote:Anyone else kinda sad that some people are considering jumping ship and going to FSU because of a slight change in FSU's ranking? I dont really think UF/FSU are equal. I was accepted to both schools, and yes both schools are good for practicing in FL but the one statsitic that really stands out to me in comparing UF/FSU is in the lawyers score - a 3.5 at UF vs. a 2.9 at FSU. It just seems to me that UF law is percieved as the "top dog" in the state. So I can justify the increased cost for knowing I am going to the best school in the state. But thats just my opinion obviously so take it for what it's worth.
