Re: Loyola Law School Class of 2014
so i looked into starting a facebook group today, creating a group requires listing at least 1 other person that will be in it. i dont yet know anyone else that will be attending loyola, so if someone wants to PM their name to me i'll try to find you on facebook and start a group. if that sounds too creepy then i'd be happy to send you my name instead.

Is anyone planning on going to the "top tips" event scheduled on june 23?
pm me if you want to meet a bit earlier and grab some lunch nearby. It's always good to meet fellow classmates ahead of time

Checked my orientation page (https://technology.lls.edu/orientation/) on a whim, and my section was assigned already (this was a few minutes ago). Everyone go check!

Re: Loyola Law School Class of 2014
One of my cousins is good friends with Natapoff, and I've seen her in Faculty Workshops. Don't know what she's like as a professor, but she seems fine. A friend of mine had Caplan... and said he was horrible. You can do every practice test and still have no clue what he'll want on his exam. Sorry. Same friend also had Kim; she is really good but very "bleeding heart liberal." My friend is fairly conservative and was put off by her views. The fact that he still gave her a good review overall is a good sign.Judge Philip Banks wrote:Natapoff (Crim Law), Caplan (Civ Pro), Kim (Torts), Trisolini (Property)NoleinNY wrote:So, what professors did you get?

I had Trisolini! She was our property professor for 1.25 semesters; her mom died at the beginning of spring and she was replaced by Schechter. She's very nice, approachable and personal.... Just not a great professor. You really will have to self-teach in that class. Trisolini has a habit of going off on tangents, and not really focusing on important stuff. Again, very nice as a person, and I'm sure she's better at teaching upper division courses than general Property.
Who is your LRW?
Edit: What about you, Chimp?

Re: Loyola Law School Class of 2014
Too bad with Caplan... But everything else seems fine then! Glad to hear you had Trisolini and at least liked her as a person. Hopefully she's alright as a professor. I can't figure out who I have for LRW. Not sure if I am missing something, but as far as I can tell we can't figure that out yet (probably not until tomorrow - the "official" section assignment date).
Thanks for the info by the way Nole!
Edit: I also have Horton in Spring for Contracts... Any word on him?

For Fall click the below link and then "2011 Fall First Year Classes":
http://reg.lls.edu/2011fall/Fall2011Reg ... rials.html
And for Spring do the same (but for spring) here:
http://reg.lls.edu/2012spring/index.html
You can see your section's schedule and your profs and all that. Just not your LRW professor (I don't think...).

I've got Section 1 too A databank seems like a great idea. I already asked this in a different thread, but I'd love some professor input if anyone has it! Thanks!

Re: Loyola Law School Class of 2014
I haven't had any of them, but I took a look at your schedule and saw you have Nockleby for Torts. I had him, and he is AMAZING. One of my favorite professors of my entire academic career. He is fun, helpful, and clear. True story: I went to a local bar association meet and greet and met 5 different people who had him in the last 5 years and had fond memories of him. 4 of them, in fact, found their current places of employment because of him. I'm not saying he does that for everyone, just that he is definitely one care about his students.chimp wrote:Thanks JPB. Looks like I've got Murray for Crim., Grossi for Civ. Pro., Aragaki for Contracts, and Petherbridge for Property.
Also, anyone in section 2. You have Levenson. Buy EVERY SUPPLEMENT SHE HAS WRITTEN. It is required. Not an option. All of it.

Thanks for the tips - I'm in section 2 myself. Anyone buy textbooks off Amazon or another online site?

Fun fact, apparently is #2 in LA and #25 in the country in terms of partners in NLJ100 firms. What does his mean? Not much, except that we have a decent alumni network.
