Wait listed today...kind of early, yeah? Anyone else?
We have completed our review of your application for fall 2011 admission to The George Washington University Law School. You should be proud of your many academic and professional accomplishments.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer you direct admission at this time, but are pleased to place you on our wait list. As I am sure you know, our admissions process is extremely competitive. Each year we receive thousands of applications for the limited number of seats available in our entering class. We extend offers of admission very carefully as we strive to bring in an outstanding class while also ensuring that we are not overenrolled. As a result, we invite a number of strong candidates to be on our wait list. We expect that we may extend a significant number of offers of admission to wait-listed candidates during late April, May, and June. It is possible that we may continue to make offers into July and August.

Please note that we do not rank our wait list. If and when we are in a position to make additional offers of admission, we will review the complete files of all wait-listed candidates. If, at any time, you wish to add any information to your application file, please send supplemental material to us by mail (at the address set forth below) or by e-mail (to jdadmit@law.gwu.edu). Please be sure to include your full name and LSAC account number on any submissions.

We thank you for your interest in our law school and appreciate your patience throughout our admissions process.

We wish you a very Happy New Year.
