Just wanted to share: moving sucks. Moving in the hurricane really sucks. Expecting to lose power any minute...

1.I want to get my suit pressed before the formal dinner because it will be in a suitcase for a few weeks. Is there someplace near campus or a service for students I can use (i.e. clothes pick up)?

2. would you all judge me if I wear crocs to class?
1. There are a bunch of places around Hyde Park. For example, there is Vogue Cleaners on 57th in between Blacktone and Harper. It really depends on what is more convenient for you. I'm pretty sure any dry cleaning and alterations place will press a suit.

2. I will judge you to be crazy if you're wearing crocs outside past October.

Yes.

Incidentally, I just bought my dad crocs for his birthday to replace his old ones that he wore out because he didn't want anything else. I made fun of him too.

Yes.
I only don't judge small children for wearing crocs...

And medical professionals.

I'm living right next store in a different building. I love my new place (now that it's set up..... which was a long and tiring process).

My two roommates and I live a couple of blocks west. so you aren't the only one down on the non-regents side of things.

Naturally I have waited until the last week before I move to get all this "necessary to enroll" stuff.

Ebilling - check.

Took me at least 20 minutes to figure out what my student ID number was. I'm really great at all this.

Hi guys! So...

I really want onenote; I have a macair. And, technology+me=huge lawl/no.

How would I use vmware to run onenote? Would I download vmware and then download onenote when running pc on the vmware, thus somehow adhering the onenote to the pc on vmware only?

Please help technology illiterate me.

That being the case, you should probably buy a pc or go without. Emulators are generally a bad idea if you have no idea what you're doing with them.

I hear Circus Ponies is just as good, though, so Mac people aren't totally out of luck.

I'd go with Circus Ponies over VMWare and emulating an OS just to run Onenote. The only thing Onenote offers is a structured workbook and the ability to write things wherever you like on the page. If you're not terribly computer savvy then this is all you'll be using it for, and Circus Ponies will do the same thing just as well as Onenote ever could.

If you're still dead set on using Onenote then just wait until classes start, befriend someone who knows how to use a Mac and have them teach you how to set it up. Running an emulator on a Mac is pretty basic once someone's set it up and shown you how to use it. Don't blow more cash on another laptop - its only law school ffs.

Okay, thank you all.

I'm going to take it to an apple store and have someone from the genius bar explain the process of using an emulator for me, and then go from there.

I don't remember being asked for one. IIRC, it was just transcripts for grad and undergrad.
