What do you have against the cheap places I posted?Muenchen wrote:Yeah, I only applied to Regents to secure a 1 br as a safety. Depending on what I can find online, I might go back up this summer to tour some more places. The only problem I'm having is that the places that I like are about $400-500 more per month, so right now Regents is still looking like the default.Dany wrote:Not really. A good number of us have applied to Regents, but will be looking for other places ~2 months out when landlord people know which units will be available come September.
And I think my awesome roomie and I are going to move in Sept. 1, too. It'll be nice to get settled in early!!

Lol because all your links are so fantastic? I'm fine on my own, thanks.Saul Goodman wrote:Your loss. At least check out the Blackstone. That actually looks pretty decent. I'm not a big fan of studios and i'd like a dishwasher but it's hard to beat that price. Any idea how far of a walk it is from the law school? Is there a bus route that will take you to the law school?Saul Goodman wrote:http://www.hunterprop.com/cgi-sys/cgiwr ... rhood_18=1Knock wrote:Link?
Around the corner from the Dorchester place we looked at - btwn 57 and 58th. Haven't checked on the bus yet TBH, but I was hoping to bike it. It's also pretty close to the L (for going into town purposes.)Knock wrote:That actually looks pretty decent. I'm not a big fan of studios and i'd like a dishwasher but it's hard to beat that price. Edit: googled it, looks like a 15 minute walk. you can take the bus down a few blocks but you still have to walk the last few blocks to the law school, and it looks like it's a 10 minute trip by bus/walk

How are you planning on getting to the law school and how long will that take?Sentry wrote:Sept. 1 somewhere in lake view most likely.
Ah yes, AD always seems to be a common well of material to draw from for you when you can't write your own. Allow me to reciprocate with more internet cliches.Saul Goodman wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBelT-Xi1CYMuenchen wrote: Lol because all your links are so fantastic? I'm guessing this is where you become a big advocate for a free UPass for all Chicago students, eh?Knock wrote:How are you planning on getting to the law school and how long will that take?Sentry wrote:Sept. 1 somewhere in lake view most likely.
Me or Sentry? I'm for it regardless of where I live.Muenchen wrote:I'm guessing this is where you become a big advocate for a free UPass for all Chicago students, eh?Knock wrote:How are you planning on getting to the law school and how long will that take?Sentry wrote:Sept. 1 somewhere in lake view most likely.
Do you think it's even possible to find parking at the school on a daily basis?Knock wrote: Me or Sentry? I'm for it regardless of where I live.
Oh, that was actually directed at Sentry since Lakeview is so much further north. I'm a little ambivalent about the free UPass, so we'll have to see what they decide. I think no matter what we won't be having it this year, is what they said. Maybe 2012.Knock wrote:Me or Sentry? Not sure I read in the Chicago discuss your law school thread there is a parking lot 2 blocks from the school which you can park in for somewhere in the ~$70 a month range. Otherwise you have to get there like before 8am to get a spot on the street.CastleRock wrote:Do you think it's even possible to find parking at the school on a daily basis?Knock wrote: Me or Sentry? From what I have heard, there is street parking available if you get there early in the morning, like 7:30. There is also a student lot you can buy a pass for but it's several blocks from the law school building and, as you'd expect, it's not cheap.CastleRock wrote:Do you think it's even possible to find parking at the school on a daily basis?Knock wrote: Me or Sentry?
