Re: Chicago Class of 2014
This isnt correct. Columbia/NYU LRAP loans cover the actual debt payment while Chicago LRAP only covers the IBR payment. With Columbia/NYU, after 5 years you have 5 years of your debt paid off. With Chicago, if you leave public service after 5 years you will likely have NONE of your actual debt paid off and could quite possibly actually owe MORE than what you started with. The Chicago loan that is forgiven every year is just the loan for IBR payments. NOT an actual forgiveness of a year of your loans.DorianGray89 wrote:Columbia's LRAP loans (the money Columbia gives you to pay back your loans) arent forgiven until the fifth year, so if you leave public interest before five years are due, you owe Columbia all that money. NYU is the same, except that they are forgiven on the third year. Chicago's are forgiven every year.

This is interesting! I need to think of some questions. I especially like that you can have bad grades and people don't understand.Knock wrote:Chicago Alum whose been out for 5+ years is taking questions if you guys have any: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 4&t=149982.

I nominate my dogs. They are calm (usually) and enjoy attention from everyone everywhere forever. Also, the greyhound is tall enough that you don't even have to bend from the computer to get some dog love.Knock wrote:So down!sojuteacher wrote:Yale is getting a therapy dog in its library. Of course. Where I go, my pets go. I don't think I could stand THE RIGOR otherwise. I'm hoping that the dogs will like Hyde Park, as I am deeply concerned about their well-being in the winter. I need to see if they will tolerate snow boots to protect their paws from rock salt. I'm also getting an apt with hardwood floors, so even those with allergies can come over for brief periods.dulcatis wrote:You're bringing them, right?JFo wrote:

Re: Chicago Class of 2014
What. The. Fuck. is going on in this thread?
I went on a two day st. patrick's bender and two chicago people have changed their usernames (wai?!). And....dany....I would enjoy any candid faculty pictures that you can capture. You are a papparazza for us this tabloid of a thread, and I expect big headlines.
