They didn't have Chicago Law tshirts when I went! So mad!Dany wrote:The bookstore is super easy to get to from the law school (it's on the main campus). I got a tshirt AND mugs for my LOR writers!Knock wrote:Looks like i'm going to be hunting for a comfy and warm north face for next year. I also need to pick up a sweet U of Chi sweater for myself and some swag for my family.
I can't even find any online either.

I don't see where on the FB page there is an option for discussions. Am I missing something? Also, I was thinking more along the lines of looking for roommates, so the chats don't really help with that.Ghost wrote:I feel like Chi covers their bases with the chats.Dany wrote:I think it's up to us to get the discussion going!sarahlawg wrote:speaking of facebook... the uchi group kind of sucks... is there another one where people are actually having discussions?
lol@the coat discussion in this thread. Chi seems about equal to where I grew up in upstate NY. Guess my clothes will suffice. On a side note, I knew NYC was warmer, but I didn't realize it was on average 10 degrees warmer in the winter...boy you guys are spoiled!

Every single girl I have asked has said absolutely get a long coat that covers your butt. Haha.alphamoose wrote:My thoughts exactly!Dany wrote:So many choices!!
I can haz all the coats?
Thanks for the advice dany, emma, and everyone else!
One more question! Is it necessary or recommended to have it longer? Or is it ok to have one like emma just linked if its nice/warm enough?
And I've asked, like, a lot.

I think that is good advice, but that parka from eddie bauer should be long enough to do the job if you didn't want something super long. You just don't want something that hits at your waist.Dany wrote:Every single girl I have asked has said absolutely get a long coat that covers your butt. It really wasn't that cold this year anyway. Maybe it was just a mild winter but plenty of people got by just fine without down coats.

If you can afford it, go with KJUS and never look back. When I was in Norway and Switzerland, everyone was wearing it. SOOOOO warm. Best of all, the hood zips all the way up so you look like a mummy. They also have really dope color options:

I'm definitely getting something ass-covering, because the worst part about super cold NYC days was the wind cutting through your jeans and leggings and underwear and making your butt super cold ;_;

With the ug students you do get your david bowies and jennifer connellys ocassionally to compliment your cast of loveable muppets.Sentry wrote:I take it you don't mean a young Jennifer Connelly?TaipeiMort wrote:I know there are some pretty pimp kids from my class that live there, but the downsides are that you live 2 blocks from a live-fire zone, and you have to live with UG students, which remind me of the cast from Labrynth or The Dark Crystal.Sentry wrote:Anybody looked at University House apartments?

Almost back from epic trip. I found the sketchiest gas station/butcher shop/restroom/casino ever outside Durham. No lie.

Yes. I got mine on off season sale with an additional %30 discount and it was still expensive. But, this winter, in NYC, I was sooooo warm. Plus, the zip-up hood was a huge conversation piece.sarahlawg wrote:those kjus coats look nice but at the price
