I definitely have to say that I like UChicago's post-admitted experience the best out of all the schools I've been accepted to. Their site is nice and the chats are really awesome.
It's really fun to see how many times THE RIGORRRR is mentioned per chat

Even better, we have already produced more than 1.5 times as many pages as the 2013 thread. We're awesome.dulcatis wrote:Also, at this time last year, the UChicago Class of 2013 thread was on page...15.

You know you've been posting in here too much....when you're flipping channels and you hear someone go "figuero figuero figeuroooo" and instead you here "rigorous, rigourous...rigorouuuuss".
It's time or me to stop posting in here.

Is it bad that since I decided to go to Chicago, I check the Bulls scores regularly?

Wow, so, the weather in Chicago has a bad rep, per my friends:
"Chicago is so cold, I contracted gonerehea (sp) just for the burning sensation."

Re: Chicago Class of 2014
Winter and late fall are cold but early fall, spring and summer are actually pretty nice. I would say Chicago is a step up from the other top schools(stanford not included). My research indicates that the weather in Boston sucks almost constantly, NYC summers can get real iffy(especially in the underground subway area with no air circulation), I dont know anything about CT weather throughout the year but its in the northeast so Im just gonna assume it sucks too.JFo wrote:Wow, so, the weather in Chicago has a bad rep, per my friends:

Re: Chicago Class of 2014
Stop giving people these false impressions. As an East Coast product let me tell you right now that our Winters have nothing on Chicago and our summers are always warmer. That's NYC to Southern New England. Chicago is colder because of the wind, gets more snow and even when it doesn't get more snow it is colder. You can generally take the temperature in Michigan or Chicago at any point in the winter and add 5 to 10 degrees and that's what it's like in Northeast. Though in recent years New England's had that terrible flood and that blizzard. More importantly schools on the East Coast close for that type of weather....Chi will probably stay open. Not that I think this should sway someone either way, but I'm from the places you are talking about and go to school in the other place....trust me on this one.tkgrrett wrote:Winter and late fall are cold but early fall, spring and summer are actually pretty nice. Re: Chicago Class of 2014
Ehh let me clarify. By weather, I didnt just mean the cold. No doubt Chicago winters are colder but I meant the constant overcast conditions(or so Ive been told) in Boston and the summer humidity in NYC(Ive experienced multiple NYC summers). Chicago is really nice from May-Early October.Non-Chalant1 wrote:Stop giving people these false impressions. Re: Chicago Class of 2014
I guess it's nicer in the sense that it doesn't get as humid. I'll give you that. But a lot of these people asking are from the South. They'd laugh at what we're considering humid.

Shits getting vulgar in here....I like it! I don't know why, but I've always felt like there has been an unspoken censorship in this thread. Fuck.

Apparently I haven't been reading Rigorously... I don't feel like I've read anything worse than ass or shit. Me not using the F-bomb is very difficult, it's probably one of the most useful words in the English language.
