If only I had $100 for every time Tyler Roth used the word "offline".

If the answer is always "let's talk offline" maybe they should've just given their email addresses and called it a night.
Ok, I'm being too harsh.. I DO appreciate the chats..

I really do want to know if the buses are safe... I wouldn't take them in Baltimore.

Re: Chicago Class of 2014
I want somebody to use profanity in one of the chat questions. Not like obvious but just make it seem like a slip up.... I hear the grocery situation in HP is pretty shitty...Is that true?

I would slightly disagree with the answer they gave. #2 and #6 are completely fine. Do not take #4, it is not very safe and very dirty. The green line CTA El is a NO NO.

Wait so.. it's not car-friendly and public transit is all you need.. but to get groceries, it's downtown 8 minutes by car..?

I'm bringing a car and living in regents. I'd be cool with letting people borrow it/carpooling with any fellow TLSers.

Good to know, thanks.. I'm so spoiled by the 3 Super Walmarts in my hometown (population 20,000, btw..)Kili wrote:Regents has a mini-grocery store. Out of curiosity, what will your parking situation be?Sentry wrote:I'm bringing a car and living in regents. I'd be cool with letting people borrow it/carpooling with any fellow TLSers.

I too will have a car. TLS friends are welcome to tag along for grocery runs.Sentry wrote:I'm bringing a car and living in regents. I'd be cool with letting people borrow it/carpooling with any fellow TLSers.

The school is not very car friendly if you get there after about 8:30am (parking is hard). But if you live downtown, I recommend a car and just get to school early or get a parking spot in the school garage. The two grocery stores in HP suck for the most part. South Loop has Dominicks, Whole Foods, Jewel Osco. And Loop has a Trader Joes.

Okay. I just joined TLS to post about this chat. (I'm the one w/the stupid question about dogs in the beginning)
This is not as troll-y as the Clerkship chat.
I'm digging the grocery questions.

Pay for parking at regents. My wife really wants to have a car along and she's willing to pay for the parking so I'm down with it.arism87 wrote:Out of curiosity, what will your parking situation be?Sentry wrote:I'm bringing a car and living in regents. Regents offers parking, but it's like $155 a montharism87 wrote:Out of curiosity, what will your parking situation be?Sentry wrote:I'm bringing a car and living in regents. I'd be cool with letting people borrow it/carpooling with any fellow TLSers.
I've seen it available for around $50-75 at other places nearby, which is what makes me think Regents is a tad bit overpriced in general.

Re: Chicago Class of 2014
Lol the one plus of city living for me is ditching my car. I'd LOVE to. I'd pay $155/month to NOT drive the damn thing.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
