Wow. Already gunning on your paperwork?Xifeng wrote:I had a super productive Chicago-related day! Dropped off my immunization forms at the doctor's office, filled out a bunch of paperwork and sent it in, signed up for direct deposit and all of that other crap, and learned that my ugrad institution has not 'processed my degree' yet so I can't send transcripts until they do.
Yaaaay productivity <3

In the real mail?
Was it important?
I am house sitting for my parents, so whatever they sent is probably sitting in my mailbox at home. The only problem is that it's been raining all week and the mailbox leaks.

Seriously. The realization that if I don't get a job, it will take me decades to pay this off gives me a sinking feeling.Ghost wrote:Loans =

I've done Progressive's Renter's Insurance, and while they're cheap, their portal to pay (Homesite) is really crappy, and they really love to auto-renew you...even when you've asked them to cancel it and aren't living at the address anymore. That being said, they do respond to strongly worded emails.Ghost wrote:Loans =
For what it's worth (and by that I mean for those that are lazy), I called Allstate, Progressive, and Liberty Mutual for renter's insurance quotes. Progressive so far has the cheapest one and that's taking into consideration that my auto insurance is through LM.
Save that green bros....

I just don't have enough stuff for renter's insurance to be worth it. I calculated it up and figured out that I would need like $10K in assets in my apartment to make it worth it.

It's also important to have since if one of your law school buddies falls on your bathroom floor, breaks his head open, decides to sue you, and wins, you're covered. It also covers things like when you apartment burns down and you need a place to stay for awhile.Ghost wrote:Some apartments like Regents require it.d34dluk3 wrote:I just don't have enough stuff for renter's insurance to be worth it. I'm cool paying $175/year or so for that kind of coverage.

Re: Chicago Class of 2014
Hey yall! It's been a long time, but I'm back from vacation and starting to get the ball rolling on all the paperwork. (I'm also in contact with the club on campus for the real Chi logo for the shirts but they are super slow and unresponsive). I had a sort of stupid question, but is the mailing address for our transcripts the physical address of the law school, or are to send it somewhere else? Thanks! It's good to be back and crazy that we'll all be in HP soon!
