I am currently in the middle of the back and forth process with them, I will let you know how it goes. I used another offer to leverage though, are you in the same boat?egirarde wrote:bump.

Same boat. They made me a great offer, but in-state for me will still be $30k less expensive. Can't decide if I should contact them now or after I visit and get my financial aid info... Thoughts?SupraVln180 wrote:I am currently in the middle of the back and forth process with them, I will let you know how it goes. Hey all! I'm not certain that I'll be attending ND, but I'm now planning to visit and see what it's like, so I thought I'd pop in here and see if there's anything going on ITT...
I'm also planning to try and negotiate for more $ leveraging some other offers.

edit: That was a poor way of saying I was already planning to negotiate, as I have been doing with other schools.SupraVln180 wrote:Damn, my negotiations aren't going to work if everyone else is doing it!
I actually had one school comment on the higher number of people trying to negotiate this year as opposed to past cycles

Re: ND 2014
Lol b/c TLS released the wisdom on how to do it and now we all think we can. Anyway, Melissa Fruscione from admissions is extremely nice and accommodating whenever you send her an e-mail. She has answered all of my questions almost immediately. I brought my scholarship inquiry to her and she assured me that my request would be brought up at the next scholarship committee meeting. I guess a few more people have to withdraw to free up some $$$. Regardless, good luck. I hope we all get full rides!krad wrote:edit: That was a poor way of saying I was already planning to negotiate, as I have been doing with other schools.SupraVln180 wrote:Damn, my negotiations aren't going to work if everyone else is doing it!

Exactly! The person that mentioned it to me also said that more and more UG counselors seem to be mentioning it to their students. <- They probably read this on TLS Anywhoo, thanks for the heads up, I sent an email this AM, so we'll see! I'm definitely hoping for full rides for all of us too haha!SupraVln180 wrote:Lol b/c TLS released the wisdom on how to do it and now we all think we can. Re: ND 2014
Is anyone here going to the April 8th Open House? I was originally planning on going to UNC's ASW but I think I am going to attend Notre Dame instead, so I am strongly considering going to this to meet some classmates.

I'm still trying to plan ASW around my work/work travel I'm hoping to make it, though! Thanks for sharing the fbook group.
ndirish I'm curious if you had an initial scholly, which offers you were leveraging, etc...? Any thoughts are appreciated!

Without going into too many details....i did not have that much to leverage against. PM me if you have any specific questions.
Yeah, egirarde, i'm really excited. I can't wait to get started.

Re: ND 2014
Yeah, I think I have decided against my 75% scholly at UNC for my small scholly at ND. Mostly because I don't want to regret not going to ND for the rest of my life. UNC's lack of national prospects really kills it for me. But we should all definitely meet up in South Bend.egirarde wrote:Not a very popular topic, eh? Anyone else looking forward to ND next year?

So I'm in the process of deciding whether to commit to ND or take one of my full ride options (WUSTL, Illinois, IUB) ... ND is by far my favorite but the money aspect is making life difficult haha

Re: ND 2014
Did you let NDLS know about your full rides to WUSTL and UIUC. I'd imagine our admissions office would care about those... And how much were you offered by NDLS?pinkzebra wrote:So I'm in the process of deciding whether to commit to ND or take one of my full ride options (WUSTL, Illinois, IUB) ... Agreed. ND should match it, or at least up their original offer.ndirish2010 wrote:Did you let NDLS know about your full rides to WUSTL and UIUC. It was cool. Amazing campus, but South Bend is tiny. Decent mall and bars close by. ND is just in the middle of nowhere.ndirish2014 wrote:For those who went....how was the ASW???
