Call me crazy, but I'm taking all 4 sections in a 2 week span this May. So my days are pretty full of CPA studyingthecilent wrote:I can always count on you blaw.. That's what I'm hoping. I won't actually be a CPA, but I'll at least have the exam passed and just need WE to become licensed. I feel like it wont help a lot, but maybe a tiny bit.

Filled out the app, put down four different Mercer style apartments. Unless I come across a better deal that's reasonably close to campus that I'm comfortable pulling the trigger on without seeing it, I'm gonna do it. It'll just make things easier, then I can find somewhere else for 2L and 3L.
What's your plan?

Re: NYU Class of 2014
True true. I'm going to fill out the app this week/end, I guess. I will put down a preference for Mercer, without a doubt. But I'm definitely going to look for apartments this summer. I kinda want to live in the east village a few minutes away. I also wouldn't mind living downtown somewhere and taking a 10-20ish subway ride to school - I loveee the financial district.birdlaw117 wrote:Filled out the app, put down four different Mercer style apartments. I'm prob going to be in midtown working all summer, so I figure I'll have some time to do some apt hunting

If I was more familiar with the area I would definitely do something along those lines. Being in the city this summer will help you find a place. Just make sure you withdraw your app before July 1. I think it's like a $1200 cancellation fee.

Checking in here. 95% certain I will be at NYU next year. Only waiting to give CLS a chance to beat NYU's offer/get into Harvard (which I mean lets be real at this point...).

Just make sure you double check that I'm not remembering incorrectly, I'd hate to screw you over on something like this.

Re: NYU Class of 2014
I will for sure. My girlfriend is still trying to figure out what she's going to do. She got into her MA program at NYU and is trying to decide whether or not to defer for a year. She didn't get funding so she might try and work for 14 months and save money. Which then means she doesn't know if she'll work out in NYC or stay here. If she gets a good job out there I'm sure I'll end up out there in July. If not, I'd like to move in a few days early and get settled, by we'll see...

OMG!!!! Yes! I can't wait! Viewing parties for GG! And for anyone who wants to join in the fun but doesn't watch, I have all the seasons (cause I'm just that cool ) so you can catch up.law_monkey wrote:Awww <3 you Mulch! I really really hope this works out for you, although I have full confidence that you'll be happy at Penn too! But I'm definitely still crossing my fingers for you!!!ilovemulch wrote:Just wanted to pop in and say congrats to all you guys (I'm super super jelly...and PRAYING for a miracle over here, lol). Monkey - sad you won't be at Penn but I'm so happy for you - it sounds like this is the perfect fit!
And @daisyduke - OMG I'm soooooo excited that my GG buddy is going to be there with me! Viewing party is totally still on!
Also, @law_monkey, I totally agree with the obsessiveness. After the ASW, that is totally me as well. LOVE NYU!

Absolutely not. There will be plenty more bonding sessions I have a feeling. I'm trying to remember... are you west coast? Meaning still doing productive things while everyone else is sitting around their computer?law_monkey wrote:Aaaahhh I'm so sad I missed the class bonding sesh tonight. Stupid undergrad. Haha YES! It's funny because I'm still in class/working when everyone is on, and then when I do get on everyone is off because they're sleeping/partying. There's definitely a point every night when I keep refreshing and there's no new posts for long periods of time. Hooray procrastination!birdlaw117 wrote:Absolutely not.
