Re: NYU Class of 2014
Conversation with a fellow NYU 0L:
Person 1: "I can't close out the bar with you tonight..."
Person 2: As usual, you disappoint me. I'm going to have to find other friends at NYU. Ones with better priorities. Only outlines and drinking 24x7.
Person 2: In fact, I may make us shirts. "Outlines and drinking are my whole life."

Re: NYU Class of 2014
Well after much debate, it looks like I will be living on campus. Was assigned a G3-M in Mercer (three-person apartment), and I don't think I can pass up the deal - $1600/month including utilities and cable and internet in the village with only a 9-month lease.
If anyone else here as a G3-M in Mercer pm me or something to see if we are suitematesss

Re: NYU Class of 2014
Yeah my shit didn't come with a roommate assignment. I guess I'll email them back and ask for it
Eta: i may have gotten a diff email bc I was only assigned this yesterday, after someone prob cancelled
Eta: just got an email back from them after I asked about my roommates. They said they "will be sending out confirmation of apartmentmates in early August." So whatever that means I guess they don't have eerything filled yet

Good stuff, man. Mercer is literally right next to Cole's (the gym). Good come up.thecilent wrote:Well after much debate, it looks like I will be living on campus. Re: NYU Class of 2014
Lame. Do you think living east of 1st Avenue qualifies me as a commuter student and/or having a medical condition?Where/how do I obtain a locker?
Due to limited space availability lockers will be assigned at the beginning
of the semester to full time J.D. or LL.M. commuter students only. You
will be notified of your locker assignment in late August.
There are also a small number of lockers reserved for students with
documented medical conditions for which a locker would be helpful. To
request a locker due to a medical condition contact the Office of Student
Affairs at law.studentaffairs@nyu.edu or 212-998-6658

Yup. By commuter, they mean anyone who doesn't live in Mercer, D'Ag, etc.ahduth wrote:Lame. Do you think living east of 1st Avenue qualifies me as a commuter student and/or having a medical condition?

You're also east of 1st Av, and I think anybody within 3000 feet of the East River automatically has a medical condition.
Not that you needed to qualify on both counts, but...

So the letter we got yesterday made it sound like to me that we could check the status of the college questionnaire and transcript at the admitted students site, but maybe I read it wrong? I can't seem to find anywhere to do that.

This was actually discussed (in a way only the Lounge can treat it) here, and I'd tend to agree.glitched wrote:nyu offers students the opportunity to make business cards through the school. is it too douchey to get them? hahaha i just have always wanted a business card with my name on it... i dont know why.
I'd use them on the undergrads, mostly.

I have a G3-M, and have been unable to get in touch with one of my flatmates. I wonder if it's you...thecilent wrote:Well after much debate, it looks like I will be living on campus. So, you know, no pressure or anything. Please visit the link and fill out the form by August 5. If your plans have changed and you no longer plan to attend the NYU School of Law, please let us know as soon as possible. If we don’t hear from you by August 5, we will assume you do not plan to enroll at the Law School and you will be withdrawn from the first year class.
