CLS 2L here. This isn't a totally incorrect impression. Some people are in-and-out, but you're going to find socially inept people at every school (especially law school, which by nature attracts socially dysfunctional people). Beginning with CLS Orientation Week (featuring open bars and events held for CLS students which EVERYONE attends), you'll start to meet your 400+ classmates. Everyone eventually finds their "group" as the semester rolls on. I personally have a ton of close friends at the school, and we always hang out in our free time. My boyfriend and I host "movie nights" for our "core" group of CLS friends every Thursday night (we're talking 15+ people crammed into our living room), after which we often go off to the bars nearby to meet up with other classmates.
On a related note, being former TLS-ers ourselves (at least, barring the fact that we love to visit these forums to provide admits with advice!), we'll probably be hosting a party at our place during ASW!
