You don't need to apply. They offer it to you in an email. Or at least they did in my case. And on the bottom of the letter you can choose to accept or decline it. You have to apply for GradPlus, though.

Thanks Gemini. I don't believe I've received such an email, but I will check and/or contact financial aid.

when does everyone plan to apply for loans?

on the checklist Fordham gives you, the recommendation is to apply late may/early june, when the updated cost of attendance has been released. anyone know if it's been released yet?

i talked to the financial aid director (Ursula Duran) and she said you usually apply when they bill you for first semester, which is mid-july.

I'm definitely going to try since I missed all the other ASDs. Plus free food and since it's after the deposit deadline everyone who's there will mostly likely be attending in the fall and haven't met any of you guys yet!

I sent in my 2nd deposit (a check) before June 1. Have yet to recieve a receipt, like I did with my 1st deposit. Is anyone in the same boat as me?

I'm joining the boards late in the game! I hadn't heard back about my second deposit so I emailed and got a response the next day.

For those from out of state, when are you moving to the city? Aside from craigslist, any good recommendations on where to look for no fee apartments?

I recommend streeteasy.com and from there you can find apts you like and link up to the broker/property management sites!

you should receive an email from fordham soon.

Still haven't received an email... will email THEM later today.

It's just frustrating because they emailed me back REALLY quickly after the first deposit (like 3-4 days after I sent the check) but now its radio silence.

Have you signed up for an account on my.fordham.edu yet? If you haven't, it will guide you through getting set up as a new member, and you can view your ID # on the website, along with a lot of other useful things.

I sent in all the forms they requested to process my loans/grants (my tax info and my mother's) probably over a month ago with no response of receipt. However, I did get a thing in the mail telling me I needed to register for the selective service or else my aid will be delayed because I guess they think I'm a man.
