Thanks. I always try to avoid that website because of how often it freezes. LOL.

np. Also, this might be (close to?) a finalized list: the missing firm I was thinking of is doing OCI Segment II.

So for the sake of posterity:

Resume Collect I: 42 offices
OCI Segment I: 231 offices
Resume Collect II: 18 offices
OCI Segment II: 25 offices
Resume Collect III: 20 offices
Video Interviewing: 3 offices
OCI Segment III: 5 offices

Total OCI: 261 offices
Total (all): 344 offices

And we have the On-Tour Interviewing Programs in Chicago, Dallas, Houston, LA, and San Fran. Not bad for a class of ~210.

Hopefully, this year, you guys get a better response rate. I only had 2 out of 3 OCI firms ever get back in touch. That was after bugging them for a response several times.

Wouldn't know. We don't rank, remember?

In any case, it's bad form to not respond at all, especially after promising to more than once.

Start mailing hometown firms around July 1. I got callback-style interviews before OCI. That then clears up space for you to bid on other firms in the lotto / do open signups (I got an offer from an open-signup firm, you never know). Just apply everywhere.

What do you mean? 33% of all your OCI's didn't respond or you only did 3 interviews? I got promptly rejected by plenty of them within a week. Also, I definitely received a response from all 24 interviews.

You do notice that I asked "approximate" rank, right?

LOL. That's fine and not really the point. He could have said so rather than saying he has no clue at all. Everyone has a general idea of where they are in the class regardless of the fact that exact class rank is not released.

Am I just setting myself up for disappointment if I think grades might come out this week?

Edit: I would hope they would be out by the end of the week considering grades were due on June 1st.

Quakeroats posted a page or two back that grades were due to the registrar on June 1. He didn't say where he got his info, though.

If grades come out this week, I'd bet on Friday. Otherwise, next week it is.

Ya. He did post that. And here is the link to confirm what he said is true.

I'd prefer that grades didn't come out at all. Not looking forward to seeing the bath I took this semester.

Yes. Again, I wouldn't know. I'm not in the top ten. I'm not in the bottom ten. Beyond that, who knows?

I would have to go back and check to find the precise numbers, but when I calculated it out last fall it was about 1/3.

Based on my email archives, grades were out June 22 last year for 1Ls.

The date you received grades last year is probably irrelevant for current 1Ls because grades were due to the registrar's office about two weeks earlier this year.

Just to be clear grades are out. Anybody have approximations for class rank? top 10%, 25%, 33%, 50% etc.

Wild speculation, but here goes (this is based on own feelings and what I have heard others posture):

top 10% = a little above a 3.7
top 33% = somewhere between 3.45 and 3.5
top 50% = 3.3

This was about what I was thinking, too, but I have nothing to back that up. Wish they would at least throw us a bone (class median?).

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
