Yeah, I think so. The student site didn't have that model listed for education pricing, but I was able to get the discount by asking.


Thanks for the tip, I got an additional 10% off the lowest discounted price I could find on a T420.

I got approved for a place up near Belmont and Lakeshore yesterday so I'll be taking the express bus down Lakeshore to school. I'll probably be moving in somewhere from the 1st-4th...which is less than a month :shock:

Looks like a small group of us will be meeting for a beer on Thursday the 14th at 7:00 in Streeterville at Timothy O'Toole's; if any of you care to join us, let me know, and I will add you to the headcount. Is anyone looking for housing that may want to try to find shared housing? I've heard it's hard to come by, but it can't hurt to look. I just applied for on-campus housing but have a feeling it's pretty late in the game for that to work out.

You applied for Abbott Hall? I was under the impression that was just for students with families.

ITT this thread 2 posters with a combined 11500 posts on an internet forum mock a dude for playing a card game. I mean, I've never played bridge either, but I spend about 2 hours a week playing PS3 games online so I won't judge.

Must...finish...masters thesis...
I have a month left and am really struggling to motivate myself to write, especially with law school and a wedding looming ahead.
Other than the fact that if I don't finish it's 30k in loans for a lousy certificate of completion meaning I need to get my ass to the library anyway, do you think Northwestern would care whether I finish my masters or not? Their checklist seems to indicate that they only require official undergrad transcripts. Plus it seems that biology masters degrees are pretty worthless for IP law, and wouldn't my last month be better spent reading Getting to Maybe and going through LEEWs?

Someone please tell me its time to stop kidding myself? :?

Sure, but I've never seen a bridge tournament that involves anyone under the age of 60. Also, he posted from his phone, which makes me wonder what was so pressing about the matter that meant it had to be posted asap. To each his own, I suppose

Those are actually a good point. There have been a few postings on the fbook page (all caps guy) that make you wonder.

Oh. Well that's happened before here so I'm not too concerned, but I don't see how he could have based on that post. I thought he was saying I outted myself as a dude who occasionally plays video games, which is to say as a dude.

Not a big deal. NU tls'ers know each other. And many of us are video game fans. And one of us is an avid WoW player.
