Congrats! If you don't mind, could you share your stats and whether you're a VA resident?icouldbuyu wrote:IN!!!!!!!!!!!! Deff was a reach, but happy I got in.

Nice... I'm likely getting WL'd/dinged since I went complete 11/29 and haven't heard anything yet. I have a slightly higher GPA but a lower LSAT.icouldbuyu wrote:167/3.88atresia wrote:Congrats! I was told that my PS was outstanding (I guess its not all numbers)
Those are very nice numbers, UVA was definitely not a reach for you. CCN would have been a reachhhh.icouldbuyu wrote:167/3.88atresia wrote:Congrats! If you don't mind, could you share your stats and whether you're a VA resident?icouldbuyu wrote:IN!!!!!!!!!!!! Deff was a reach, but happy I got in.

Congrats!!! I don't think you were a reach either. A slight reverse splitter maybe, but not a reach.AssumptionRequired wrote:Those are very nice numbers, UVA was definitely not a reach for you. Congrats on your acceptance though!
I think some of the negativity on TLS got to me then because I was convinced that I was only getting into BU, Fordham, and BCAssumptionRequired wrote:Those are very nice numbers, UVA was definitely not a reach for you. Atresia, where else are you applying and are you going to try and retake??atresia wrote:WL'd, as expected... ugh.
Retaking next Saturday. I'll be preparing applications over Christmas break, so once I get my score I'll be able to immediately apply. Expecting mid-160s to low-170s on the retake, so that's obviously a wide range. Hoping for Michigan, Cornell, UVA (if they'll take another look), Georgetown, Vanderbilt, Texas, etc. It all really depends on the December retake.queenlizzie13 wrote:Atresia, where else are you applying and are you going to try and retake??
Good luck! I hope you do awesome on the Dec. LSAT!!atresia wrote:Retaking next Saturday. I'll be preparing applications over Christmas break, so once I get my score I'll be able to immediately apply. Thanks! How's your admissions cycle going?queenlizzie13 wrote:Good luck! I hope you do awesome on the Dec. LSAT!!
It's going pretty well other than the UVA WL. Heard from 4 schools - acceptances at all, including W&L, which I was pretty excited about.atresia wrote:Thanks! How's your admissions cycle going?queenlizzie13 wrote:Good luck! I hope you do awesome on the Dec. LSAT!!
you have a 3.88 gpa, and are just outside the lsat median...plus you allow them to accept a 3.5 in the low 170s. you had the #'s.icouldbuyu wrote:167/3.88atresia wrote:Congrats! Wherever I can get a job? I have ties to Texas and the West Coast though. I think I'm pretty flexible at this point.justadude55 wrote:just wondering - do most of you people applying to UVA or in at UVA have a regional preference or do you want to practice in DC and the south after LS?
Same here for the most part. From what I've read, getting a big law NYC gig is significantly easier than doing the same for DC through OGI.icouldbuyu wrote:Aiming for NYjustadude55 wrote:just wondering - do most of you people applying to UVA or in at UVA have a regional preference or do you want to practice in DC and the south after LS?

I have ties to DC/NoVA, but NY would be ideal.
And congrats to icouldbuyu (what a name!). Nice to see some more OOS acceptances!
Sounds like a cool guy.icouldbuyu wrote:P.S. My Finance Professor used to tell all of his students about how wealthy he was and how he could buy all of our parents, so he was my inspiration for selecting the username and should get some of the credit.
