UVA Class of 2014 Forum

Hey all, to get the thread back on topic with some happy news (for me anyways). I got my acceptance yesterday after going complete w/ ED form processed on Monday. Checked out the school last week and loved it so I am absolutely thrilled to be spending the next few years in Charlottesville!

For the record - 176, 3.1, non-URM, out of state

I probably won't post too much on here after this, but just wanted to throw out some hope to my fellow major splitters out there.

Btw I'm a slight reverse splitter ( stats were GPA above 75th and LSAT between 25th and median) so there's hope for those who fall into that boat too!

reverse splitter here as well. GPA way above 75th LSAT below 75th.

Any kind of splitter should apply ED, it may be your best shot into a T10 (or T14 as this board always says)

169/3.5...knew it was a long shot, but UVA's my dream school and thus it was my only shot. ahaha.

sorry dude, but I think you're headed for the waitlist. I hope I'm wrong, but UVA seems to be incredibly formulaic in who they admit, and part of that formula is having a 170+ and/or 3.85+.

sorry dude, but I think you're headed for the waitlist. I hope I'm wrong, but UVA seems to be incredibly formulaic in who they admit, and part of that formula is having a 170+ and/or 3.85+.

i think so too, i'm actually worried i'm headed for a straight rejection because i think i saw on this thread that they waitlisted someone in the time since i've been complete...but then again, maybe they would have told me already? i guess speculation is pointless, haha.

Either way, your best bet is to retake the LSAT. If you can up your score by a single point, you'd be a lock for UVA ED.

Yea i think one number has to be at or above the 75th percentile.

But good luck! you never know. ED is definitely your best shot

I think my RD app may be reviewed soon. Status stayed the same but the date changed from last updated on 9/3 to 9/15. Who knows.

the more high LSAT, low GPA's they take, the more attractive you will be. His/her acceptance is your gain.

My status has changed twice...9/2 to 9/13 then to 9/16...its driving me crazy.

I think its sba (like student government) though someone correct me if I'm wrong. Also, the food @ events here is baller. Like wine, cheese, hummus plates, fancy chocolate things, and papa freaking johns. No need to buy groceries just go to all the events they have here.

If you are into lifting, do you find time for it?
