I'm 19th on the waitlist for a 2 bedroom. I submitted exactly at 12:01. What are my chances of actually getting in?

My spot is in that neigborhood. I think we should be okay. Someone else can verify, but IIRC they went at least into the 30's last year.

I was way, way farther down in the waitlist than either of you and still got an offer for a 2 bedroom last year. I think you're okay pjo.

Number 70 if I recall correctly. It should be noted that she didn't even reach my number initially and her offer of an unfurnished 2 bedroom was not what I had initially requested (which is why I didn't take it) - so in other words, this was a skin-of-the-teeth kind of offer that I barely got. The real point is, if I had a chance of getting in under such circumstances and was that far behind on the waitlist...I'd find it hard to believe that folks below 30 have a problem. That being said, YCre and the other folks who actually got a place there can speak with more authority about the Jeffersonian than I can.

For this go-around? No. I'm quite comfortable where I am now.

My brother submitted mine five seconds after the clock hit zero on their website. I'm number 8 for a two bedroom.
Does anyone have one with the den? If you don't, do you wish you did? If you do, do you like it? Worth the extra money?

Would that be at a different apartment complex?

Yep. I'm at another place on Arlington so I don't have any incentive to move. I had considered applying to the Jeffersonian when I first got here, but it doesn't make sense to haul stuff down the street just to be that much closer to the school and I would have to go through the trouble of finding a roommate as well. Although, I must say, from hanging out at the Jeffersonian and seeing the place, I can understand why people like it so much.

#32... Shouldn't have waited until 1202 to be safe... But I think I'm in good shape based on everything I've read.

#7 for a 1br furnished. Sent the application at 12:00:15 or so despite the notice on the Jeffersonian website saying 12:01 was the earliest submission time.

Smart call. I was debating on whether or not to do it at 1200 or 1201 and wound up going with 1201. I wound up in the mid teens so it wasn't too costly.

I spoke with the manager a few weeks ago and she mentioned that the application needed to be in by January so I just decided to submit right after midnight. Also, my spot is not exactly 7, but very close, I just didn't want to run the admittedly ridiculously small risk of someone complaining to the manager that I submitted prior to 12:01 and end up loosing my spot.

I just submitted my app tonight. Sounds like that was probably way too late.

Missed out on GW's ED, so now UVA looks like my top choice. Looking forward to ASW.

Speaking of which, does anyone know off hand when ASD is? I misplaced my paper with the dates on it.

50's for Jeffersonian...I shouldn't have waited till 1:30 haha. But interestingly looks like most people before me submitted within like 30 seconds of each other so I don't feel too bad about that crap shoot.

I appreciate the vote of confidence! But that seems so late...I'm wondering if I should wait for Jeffersonian, or jump on Ivy early.

Could someone refresh my memory- what exactly goes on on these dates? Should we bring anything with us? I ask because it's about a 19 hour drive, and I'd hate to show up for just a tour or more brochures.
Also, on a mobile device overseas, so "just Google it" could possibly take years

I'm not too sure what goes on, but I think most people qualify for a travel stipend if they RSVP and fill out the form. It's like $250 for ppl coming from PA/NY/NJ//OH etc and $400 for ppl in the Midwest and further west. So it's worht the trip even just to meet some of your classmates for next year.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
