Apparently you need to join fellow west wing fans excellence and TheLast at Michigan. Much epicness will ensue.

Can we all speak really fast while walking through the halls?

we can pool our money to pay aaron sorkin to write our hallway dialogue for a day

That'd probably cost all of our law school tuitions combined!

Unless one of us hacks into the University of Michigan computers to pull the pictures of undergraduate girls and write a quick program that allows people to vote on who's hot and who's not then we translate that into a social networking website where people can hook up with other hot Michiganders and spread that to all other colleges and universities in the USA and make a billion dollars....then he will write our dialogue for us for free!

Oh, sorry...he already did that.

Oooohhh! Can I come too?

I've been telling people that the biggest reason I hate the whole Charlie Sheen thing is that he taints the image of Martin Sheen and, thereby, Jeb Bartlett for me.

Or, we could write a spec script about a combined courtroom/emergency room dramedy. That's never been done before!

I have my eye on the Michigan snuggie (http://www.mden.com/shopping/product.cg ... ?1013?2017), but I was wondering if people had any ideas about local Ann Arbor/Michigan businesses that might have something I could give. I'm thinking local foods or crafts, something along those lines. Being able to buy online would be a definite plus since I doubt I'll be back in Michigan before late July/early August. I'm thinking about a $25-35 price range, since I've got to buy for three people. Thanks for any ideas!

The farmer's market I went to on Saturday had some nice local crafts. If they have an online presence maybe you could contact the vendors directly. That said, Zingerman's is probably the obvious and easiest choice. Thanks for reminding me to thank my recommenders!!!

Where is the farmer's marker located in AA? And what days does it operate, do you know?

Damn. I missed all the exciting early morning banter and million dollar schemes.

Everyone will be invited to the "EPIC WEEK OF WEST WING."

Also, I don't know about you, but my entire life is lived as one of those hallway scenes. I walk in what is essentially a big loop of a hallway all day long with people coming up to me for brief 15 second conversations where I make seemingly important decisions.

OK guys, I officially hand-delivered my deposit on Friday (the nice girl at the Admissions Office seemed confused... I guess people usually mail them? What can I say, I was stoked to visit Ann Arbor)... and I got the email to set up my umich email addy on Saturday... what happens next? Has anybody gotten book lists, or info about insurance, or anything else?

That's what I loved about Hutchins Hall - it's a big loop around a courtyard with hallways and classrooms strategically placed so people can leave or join the conversation as we walk.

I think the multiple floors will be particularly excellent for that.

Did anyone see the 30 Rock episode with Aaron Sorkin where he and Liz Lemon did a hallway scene?

Out of the law school application process, waiting for my LSAT score and waiting to hear back from schools, the most difficult wait for me is the time until orientation!

I went and visited it on Saturday with some folks...I can't honestly tell you where it was, but I can't imagine it was more than a fifteen minutes walk away from the LQ. It wasn't huge, but it had some pretty cool stuff...it was right by Zingerman's (I think).

I hear that in Detroit there is the world's largest farmer's market?

I don't think you can buy Jolly Pumpkin beer online, but if you could, it would fit the bill. They have just phenomenal beer. I'll be joining their "mug club" when in Ann Arbor this summer.

It's by Main St. a block or two away from the gay bar, the organic grocery store, the queer bookstore, and the Birkenstock store. That set up makes sense.

RE: Michigan gifts- They make oven mitts w/ a Michigan map on them ... I've seen them at several locations. Here is one online store that carries them: --LinkRemoved--

RE: Detroit Market- I actually just went for the first time this weekend. It's called Eastern Market. It was, indeed, large. I was a little disappointed that there was so much non-local produce. There was, however, Mountain Dew jam. http://www.detroiteasternmarket.com/
