I hate to say this but, anyone who thinks 4x4 is FTW in southern Michigan hasn't been real 4x4ing.....

I've seen it snow one time for real (DC in 2010). But 4X4 works well in the 4 inch snows in MD. Also, you might be right in the winter but MD is a swampy place and great for mudding.

The funny thing is I live in Chicago (where we got 2 inches of snow for a few hours yesterday morning) and everyone keeps warning me about Ann Arbor winters. It's as if people think Ann Arbor is in the UP (which is stunningly beautiful BTW)

We got the snow too thought it melted already.

Oh boy.

Just kidding, I'm not going to be a baby about this. Are the trees stilling budding and the birds chirping, usual signs of spring, etc.?

My dad just sent me a link to the Zingerman's website with the subject line "Good food in Ann Arbor!?!??"

I don't know how to tell him I'm attending purely for the snuggie possibilities.

Congrats on choosing Michigan to everyone in this thread. I just found out my landlord doesn't have anyone to fill my apartment from May on and thought I'd throw it out there for anyone in this thread (summer starters who want a place for the summer or anyone for the whole year). PM if you want info, its a studio in tower plaza and although its pricey (welcome to AA) he normally leases it for cheaper than the apartment complex does in general. Just thought I'd throw a bone to some fellow wolverines.

That is my plan. Right down State Street preferably.

I heart shooting. I'll be bringing a 7 seater -- I'm giving my car to my mom and she is giving me her old busted SUV since I won't be driving much -- so we have room. I bet the lakes are pretty during the summer and the only thing I like more than shooting is boating.

Sexydoctor strikes again! Alternatively, I may or may not be bringing my extremely slick 15-year old minivan so groups of 7 can be embarrassed all together.
