Uiuc Transfer chances
Currently a 1L at UIUC, ended up with a 3.55 for my first semester so I’m roughly halfway between the top 20% and 15%. Highly interested in biglaw and not sure if I want to take a chance at OCI here. There’s no telling if biglaw hiring is going to keep its pace and first semester grades showed me how unpredictable grading is and I have no way of gauging if I’ll do better or worse next semester. Thinking about applying ED to UChicago and throwing an EA app to Georgetown but not sure if it’d be a waste of money. From Michigan so I’d ideally like to transfer to UMich but I’d have to roll the dice on 2nd semester grades. Can someone offer advice on what I should do? Do I even have a shot at UChicago ED? Or should I just stick it out here? For what it’s worth I have a full scholly here.
