Transfer advice.
I just got my grades back and my gpa has slipped slightly. We don’t have our rank yet but I’m at a T1 and was in the top 15 percent but after this semester I’m likely in the top 20 percent. I am a disabled combat vet with what I believe is a compelling personal statement meant. I also serve as an editor of a journal at my school and have a 1l associate position at a firm. Lastly I helped found an organization for veterans at my school. I was wondering if I still have a chance of anywhere in the T14 or T20? I have received an acceptance from WAshU so far. Is it worth tossing other apps at the T14 or will my slight grade slip prevent me from having a chance? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I don't think a slip from 15 to 20 is too terrible. Moreso than that, the only thing schools can report on their 509 for transfers is the GPA and not the ranking, so your GPA is probably much more indicative of where you'll get in. As long as you're median or higher for transfer GPAs of your target schools, I think you should be fine.Anonymous User wrote:I just got my grades back and my gpa has slipped slightly.
