What is the address change going to look like?Lawstudent5 wrote:No address change or backdoor for me yet
Yeah idk, there was movement last year on 4/15 via an address change. Then backdoor worked five days later.tcufrog1873 wrote:Based on last years posts, backdoor should start working today for those who are accepted.
Has anybody had an address change yet?
That or they finally figured out how to fix the backdoor/address loopholes. Seems like something that shouldn't be happening in the first place. Official acceptance emails went out the second to last Friday in April last year, lets hope it is the same this year.acethebar wrote:There must be a lot of applicants this year for this to be taking so long. Or maybe they are mailing decisions in an attempt to quiet our message board. I just hope we hear something soon. I have a deposit deadline for a lower ranked school coming up. It would be nice if I didn't have to pay it.
Someone please do this and update.HelpMe!! wrote:If someone has a deadline from another school, perhaps you could give admissions a call and ask if you can expect a decision sometime soon as you have another deadline coming up and would like to go to GULC, if accepted.
So you're saying there's a chance.federalist2019 wrote: Admissions office said it's unlikely decisions will be out by Friday.
Some folks crowdsourced the class of 2016 info. Take the below link as a general indication of their success. And note that a good portion of the class was interested in GULC for their PI placement specifically, so you've got to offset the total.CS5509 wrote:Does anyone have info on how transfers did at OCI last year?
Since only credits transfer instead of actual grades, do employers look at our first school grades or are they completely out the window if/when we transfer?Heisenbyrd wrote:Some folks crowdsourced the class of 2016 info. This is complete conjecture so take this with a mountain of salt but I would think GULC accepting you as a transfer would imply very good 1L grades. I have absolutely no statistics other than the usual acceptance stats to back that up but just my theory.federalist2019 wrote:Since only credits transfer instead of actual grades, do employers look at our first school grades or are they completely out the window if/when we transfer?Heisenbyrd wrote:Some folks crowdsourced the class of 2016 info. Did not transfer to GULC but can comment on what employers look at. Instead of bringing a GULC transcript to your screeners you bring your previous schools transcript. Employers then look at your first-year grades, but as far as calculating a new GPA at GULC you start from zero. Generally, this is a pretty good thing as you are already perceived to be a high-achiever.federalist2019 wrote:Since only credits transfer instead of actual grades, do employers look at our first school grades or are they completely out the window if/when we transfer?Heisenbyrd wrote:Some folks crowdsourced the class of 2016 info. Point being still need to do well on finals this semester.CheddarArachnid wrote:Did not transfer to GULC but can comment on what employers look at. It's my understanding that your 1L GPA from your original school is one of the most important parts of your OCI package, along with the original school's rank. If you get in EA, don't drop the ball in Spring.federalist2019 wrote:Since only credits transfer instead of actual grades, do employers look at our first school grades or are they completely out the window if/when we transfer?Heisenbyrd wrote:Some folks crowdsourced the class of 2016 info.
