1) It's better to have a general, good letter than annoying your professor for mediocre specific letters.
2) According to TLS, rec letters really don't matter terribly much.

2) According to TLS, rec letters really don't matter terribly much.
Def not a good one if it is "general"
My prof basically said "I dont really know you but I can write one. I think it would be a disservice to you if you send in such a general generic letter because Im in the admissions and I dont like seeing those"
Could mean that she's truly not down OR that she doesnt really want to help people transfer (which a lot of profs seem to give off this vibe)
