Eh, disagree. Top 10% at middle t1 schools got Harvard, that has to have a chain reaction down to NW, etc. its just too early to tell.w7ldcard wrote:I think its just an amazingly competitive pool this year and admissions is surprised so they are taking their time.

Re: Northwestern Transfer
I got rejected from Harvard as top 1% at a lower T1 and another guy in the top 5% at a school ranked around 20 didn't get in (as of yesterday). So I wouldn't make that assumption.TTtop13pct wrote:Eh, disagree. Thanks, I'm really excited! I applied 6/14 and went complete a few days later. I forget when my interview was but it was about a week after I went completew7ldcard wrote:Congratulations! When did you apply?champloo wrote:In earlier today pm for stats

That's awesome. I applied two days later so there is still hope. NU is my top choice!champloo wrote:Thanks, I'm really excited! I applied 6/14 and went complete a few days later. Re: Northwestern Transfer
I think they started their second (maybe third?) wave of interview requests this week. Anyone still waiting to interview or recently received an interview request?

Taken from another thread specifically on Northwestern OCI:
Bidding is open from 7/13-7/27 and OCI is 8/10-21.

Re: Northwestern Transfer
My friend interviewed today and was told they would have a decision to her "by early next week if not sooner."
So one wave appears to be forthcoming, to steal Johann's word.
Hope this helps!

Re: Northwestern Transfer
Another thought and then I'll stop filling up this thread I no longer belong to:
There's an online OCI chat for transfers happening on Tuesday. Which makes me think/hope they will have some decisions out before the chat either Monday or Tuesday so everyone can join.
I think it's at noon central time.

I'm almost sure there are more acceptances yet to come. Not saying I'm one of them, thobmmccb223 wrote:So are we SOL at this point? No Johann tweet.

Re: Northwestern Transfer
Looks like it. I sifted through the past few NU transfer threads and didn't find one person admitted after the first 2 weeks of July. Guessing they'll hold out on dinging us till seat deposits are tallied on the 23rd.bmmccb223 wrote:So are we SOL at this point? No Johann tweet.

Re: Northwestern Transfer
So if it's any consolation to anyone, was talking with a buddy of mine about all this NW stuff. Apparently someone in the admissions office walked out one day. Apparently it really messed up things in the office and so they are scrambling to get their act back together. That said, I think there still may be some hope that at least 1 more wave will be coming out.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
