GULC RD Transfer Thread 2015

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Jun 04, 2015 7:46 am

I noticed that we have an EA GULC thread going on, but no regular decision discussion.

Let me get this started-

T 90-110 School 3.965 GPA, Ranked #1, Ph.D., Big Law. Applying to part time program. Good chances?

I am trying to get this thread going for the regular decision. I was deferred early action. My stats are TTT Top 15%...I know it's a long shot but I'm hoping my softs get me in. Has anyone heard anything?

TTTT 3.10 and ranked #4/44

Got an email today from GULC requesting me to email them unofficial transcripts.

Anyone know how much softs matter for GULC specifically?

Probably not a ton...most other schools care about your law school performance the most. Also, top 15% at T1 I'm pretty sure you're set. If not, I'm screwed.

Two years ago they heard back between the 10th and the 12th and last year they heard back on the 12th if they got in. So hopefully we should expect a response today or tomorrow. I'll post as soon as I hear something so we get a better idea.

Remember to try the backdoor trick with the accepted students website. Worked for everyone that got in EA.

No go on the Backdoor retrieval for me.

Here is backdoor description from EA thread-

Go to:
http://apps.law.georgetown.edu/admitted ... ssword.cfm

If you are able to retrieve your password, then you are in the admitted list.

Please post the day your app was complete if you get admitted so we can track where they might be.

Back to the waiting game. Any updates? Looking at it historically we should hear back sometime this week.

When did everyone apply and when were your applications complete?

I'm a long shot - TTT, 3.5 GPA (ranks won't be computed for another week and a half), but I'm part-time and work full-time as a paralegal at a law firm (where I've been for over three years). I also have some other compelling softs, which I hope may help.

I didn't apply until 6/8, but am already dying in anticipation.

It's cool if we get the application in today (deadline day) and still leave them waiting a bit for LoRs and transcript/certification paperwork right?
