3.56. I am a part-time student so no rank. Its very predictable that they defer part-timers since not enough grades to report.

Re: GULC EA Waiting Thread 2015
Hey guys,
Congrats to everyone who got accepted. I was accepted in the Early Action Program this past Friday. How is everyone feeling about the potential debt? I spoke to some of the Transfer Student Peer Mentors; they were very nice and incredibly helpful, and they noted that most, if not all of the transfers that they knew got jobs through OCI. However, since they're technically representatives of the school, I wonder if I should take that with a grain of salt. Does anyone know generally how transfers do at GULC OCI? Or if there is any "threshold" GPA for transfers getting Biglaw offers? Also, I heard from the Transfer Student Peer Mentors that most transfers who do write on make it on to a journal.

Is it possible to have "back door" access and get deferred?

Got my credentials and had no problem logging in. Did you remember to put "gu" before the password that they gave you?inchipwetrust wrote:got my credentials for the myaccess login yesterday, but haven't been able to get in, is this the same for everyone else?

Having the same problem, I made sure to include the "gu". Has anyone gotten past this problem?inchipwetrust wrote:got my credentials for the myaccess login yesterday, but haven't been able to get in, is this the same for everyone else?

Yea, I got past it. I am embarrassed to say, but my mistake was that I was literally typing in "gu456789" as my password instead of "gu[last 6 digits of ID #]." Once I made the change it let me in right away, hope it works for you.pd_1023 wrote:Having the same problem, I made sure to include the "gu". And I was typing gu and then the whole 9 digits. Just got it figured out. Apparently, I was supposed to read the instructions.inchipwetrust wrote:Yea, I got past it. Do you think there's a chance they'll send the grant offers before the first deposit is due? It says it takes three weeks, but I'd really like to know what I'm looking at before I write that check.

I talked to financial aid, and they said something to suggest it would be in before the second deposit is due.pd_1023 wrote:And I was typing gu and then the whole 9 digits. Just got it figured out. It showed up a couple of days ago on the admitted students website. It says your credentials are now available, and there is a link on the right column that will take you to a page with your NetID, student ID number, temporary password, etc.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
