Contacting schools you want to transfer to?
Would it be any benefit to contact schools to which you want to transfer? I intend to apply to a couple of schools where I was waitlisted (until I picked my cheaper state school). These transfer apps are not yet open

This isn't meant to sound snarky, it's a genuine question - what would you say in such a contact that can't be said in your application?

I don't think it could hurt insofar as asking questions about the transfer application process

There is no need to contact them. They only care about your 1L class rank and school rank.
