Cornell Transfer 2014

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Jun 23, 2014 4:05 pm

Just got in and didn't see a thread yet. Have until June 30 to put a deposit down and looks like if I met the deadline I should be able to participate in OCI in August.

Anyone else hear or have any general advice on Cornell and transferring?

If I'm reading the acceptance materials correctly it looks like if I register before July 7 I can participate in the August July Fair.

they could if they met the deadline, which is rare, since our bids are due july 8. however, bidding opens tomorrow, so s/he could make the deadline. people say cornell transfers cant do oci because our bidding closes early (bc our oci is 1st (8.5-7)

anyways, currently rising 2l at cornell - pm with questions. or if you want an apartment. :) (im serious)

Make sure you try to work on to the Journal of Law and Public Policy. Transfers are allowed to do this, but I've heard they typically are not told about that option. http://www.lawschool.cornell.edu/resear ... act-us.cfm

Also, I've heard that transfers are usually not allowed to participate at the August Jobs Fair. If they don't let you sign up for slots, I recommend literally just showing up to AJF anyway and going to the firm suits and trying to get interviews that way. That approach actually worked for a transfer last year and he's got a Biglaw SA in NYC right now.

Can also mass mail the firms and they confirm you can come to hospitality / sign up for spots. According to a now 3L transfer.

Right there with ya bees. Would be nice to know if anyone got rejected yet -- I'm thinking they saved up all the dings tell the end or something.

You would think it'd have to be by this week...

At least, considering I don't know the word "til" from "tell", my prospects aren't looking good. Good luck to you though.
