Hmm. But does that mean that a decision has been rendered? Or just that it's UR? I've been UR since 6/17, so it seems that I'm on a similar timeframe to people who received acceptances yesterday.
i think when it is complete, it just means that all the required materials have been received. after i had the status saying my application was complete, it changed to under review within a few hours

Really sorry if this feels like bad news for some of you, but I submitted on 6/9, went under review 6/13, and got accepted yesterday as well via email.

Congrats! I submitted on 6/14, went UR 6/17, and did not hear back yesterday. Thinking it's not good news.

I remember reading that people have withdrawn from schools like Stanford before ever hearing back from them. Not sure why.
That was me. Last two years the acceptance letter said "if you accept with us we presume you withdraw from all other schools" or some such nonsense. Their acceptance deadline is generally before Faye Deal starts making calls. I took it seriously and withdrew...apparently SLS knows this happens and accepted me anyways.

Jealous of everyone with phone calls...enjoy the transfer cycle.
Thank you that's very helpful to know!

This year the letter asks that we declare by the 11th, subject to the integrity of keeping one's words as part of our profession. Is that different from years past?

So now that Friday has come and passed, what is the expectation on the next round of acceptances? Or is the consensus that is the dings that will be coming soon?

Does this mean that if we're a Berkeley transfer admit with low possibility of getting into Stanford (3.7, T 15-18, high 160 LSAT, strong northern CA ties), we're better off just accepting Berkeley so we don't get screwed by the waiting game? I want to start looking for an apartment, but I would hate to waste the $100.00 application fee and lose the small chance I might have of getting in to Stanford.

I found that, since Berkeley takes a looong time to put together FinAid, you can just tell them "not accepting until you put my package together" and that generally will push you until the stanford deadline.

Also, Berkeley is doing a shitty thing by making you commit before deadline. Everyone agrees that this is one of those "say you'll go, then don't" situations.

FWIW, I committed and withdrew from S and H before hearing. I'll always regret it. I met with the administration this past year and bitched about the deadline, but it seems my complaints fell on deaf ears.

I won't say to lie or otherwise act dishonestly, but do what you've gotta do. This is about your future and you won't have this opportunity ever again.
LSAC's admissions ethics guide says that students are free to withdraw acceptance of any offer if they receive a new offer after they already accepted another. So it really comes down to whether or not you're willing to eat the deposit if you're later accepted into Stanford. (Obviously you should eat it!)

Thanks so much guys! That takes a load off of my mind. I think I am going to call Stanford admissions to see if I can get an early answer if its gonna be a ding anyway, and then just wait it out.

Received notification of acceptance via voicemail this afternoon. Hoping it's not a mistake as my application status online is still "under review." Will call tomorrow to make sure but otherwise looking forward to meeting all the rising 2Ls and transfers. Go Bears!

In today via phone call! At least, I hope the phone call was real..I didn't expect a call on a Sunday. Guess I'll find out if I receive an admissions package.

UR 6/17, stats are T30-50, ~10%, strong local ties
