To everyone who is getting accepted:
If you need a seat-deposit extension, just ask for it. Joanna was the one emailing me and she gave me a 7 day extension. It may help those in the runnings for other places, or those, like me, who were unable to come up with $1,200 in 7 days lol

Admitted this morning top 25 percent t20. Email says no OCI. Doesn't close until next week though so hoping they will let me in

Dang you can't participate in the OCI process, that sucks. Congrats though! What are you going to do?

Would it be worth it to go if no OCI?

I think they still let transfers do OCI, but you just miss the bid deadline.

So they got back to me pretty quickly. I missed the preselect portion but the lottery is still open. I was total lottery makes up 70 percent of OCI don't know what that means exactly. Would you guys do it?

Re: Georgetown Transfer 2014
don't really know enough about your situation. i wouldn't. OCI is important to me and i wouldn't rely on the lottery. my school has a lottery and i'm quite grateful that i'm relying on class rank and not my name getting drawn from a hat with 100s of others.

Re: Georgetown Transfer 2014
Just met with OCS and what it means is if a firm gets 21 interviews and 100 bids, they pick 30% out of those resumes they definitely want. Then the rest of the apps are throw into a lottery and chosen and if you are the 20th resume and you picked them 2, you could potentially get screwed.ucc2207 wrote:So they got back to me pretty quickly. If you're coming in from a t20 school, and you're ranked top 25%... then I wouldn't move. 1. you have connections where you're at; t20 and t14 isn't that big of a deal, 2. esp since you can't fully participate in the OCI process. and 3. you'll lose your gpa.

I agree with markdg90s. Prob not worth it to lose GPA at current school.
