Assuming I do the same or better (which I think is highly likely), do I have a shot at HYS? I wouldn't consider any other schools.

My school doesn't rank. But by combing through data of past years, my GPA would put me within the Top 15% of students.brotherdarkness wrote:T15 isn't a thing. Just say UT. What percentile does your GPA put you in? If you're at the top of your class, H will be your best best (they have a large transfer class) but the application fee won't be a waste at Y and S.
Thanks.

You are probably the candidate that UChicago has in mind for its ED program.
If you want to take that risk and ED you will be guaranteed a spot even if your grades suffer a bit next semester.
Chicago ED is the way I would go if you wanted out 100%. I have always found in law school being overly confident about transferring backfires. Grades can switch around second semester. Some people figure their shit out.

How do you figure you're in the top 15%? I'm pretty sure you would need at least a 3.8 to be top 15% at UT.omgreally wrote:My school doesn't rank. I actually used this:omgreally wrote:I figured it just like you did, BigZuck. A guesstimation.

I was corrected in a PM however, sounds like 3.8 is closer to top 10% than that calculator estimates it would be.

Top 15-20% at UT probs won't be enough to get into H.

wondering what the advantages of UChi would be over UT at this grade range?
