UT or WashU
I was accepted at UT today. I am still waiting to hear from WashU as I just went complete yesterday. Assuming I was to get into both, paying sticker, what is the better option? I do not really have any geographical preferences and I could see myself working in the southwest or midwest. I was top 5.5% at a tier 3 school. Also, I may have missed the write on for WashU's journals but UT's opens tomorrow for transfers. Any opinions would be welcome.

I feel like its a no-brainer if you can write on for LR at one but not the other..

Even leaving aside the better ranking, quality of life in Austin is infinitely superior to that in St. Louis.

Is UT worth the $ with no OCI?

You did not miss the deadline for WashU's journal write on. Its not until mid-August. If I were you....I would go to UT if you have strong ties there.

This is true, though you will doubt it until Mid-Sept when you experience your first non-100 degree Austin day.

Last year the write-on competition was right before transfer orientation.

Personally I'd still be going to UT.
