Checking in too. Top 2-3% at CA T1. Let's get this going.

Are we supposed to submit law school transcripts direct to Stanford or through LSAC CAS? They don't seem to specify in the app...

Re: Stanford Transfer Waiting Thread 2013
When I spoke with them, it was my interpretation that an official, sealed transcript got the job done. (Also, via status checker I saw when my transcript arrived & processed/checked the box)brotherdarkness wrote:Really? I talked to them last week and they said to send them a scanned copy when I submit my application because CAS hasn't received my official copy yet, but they did indicate that they would be relying on the CAS transcript for the actual evaluation...Nammertat wrote:pbfoot wrote:Are we supposed to submit law school transcripts direct to Stanford or through LSAC CAS? Can some past transfers weigh in on how much regional preference matters for Stanford? Top ~5% at non-CA T-20. Wondering if it's worth it to toss out an app.

After about a week they send status checker credentials.Moronic question incoming: how do you check your status? I submitted my application this evening with my transcript being sent by LSAC CAS (they finally received it), but have no idea how to see how things are going.

I went to Wisconsin, had never lived outside the state before coming to SLS and got in. My class is about 50-50 people with some California connections and people like me with none.
Edit: meant to quote the person asking about regional connections.

You have to preview the application under Step 2 in order to be able to click on continue.

Throwing my hat in the ring. 3.8x GPA at a bottom T14 school (top 10%) some weird softs and strong California ties.
Anyone know if they will review app without the undergrade dean's certification? I'm having trouble getting my undergrad to cooperate.

Re: Stanford Transfer Waiting Thread 2013
doubt you have to worry about it, stanford is probably very familiar with most gpa/rank combos; if memory serves me correct you're trying from cal right? If so, they def should knowSav wrote:Wow, you're probably getting in. Good luck!
BTW, anyone transferring out from a school that does not give out class ranks on the transcript? My school tells us unofficially only whether we are top 10% or top 25% but we are not allowed to disclose it to another school.
What did you do in a case like this? Thanks.LegalSausage wrote:Throwing my hat in the ring. 3.8x GPA at a bottom T14 school (top 10%) some weird softs and strong California ties.

im also throwing my hat in, top 10% (probably 8 or 9, def not within top 5) at mvp; gl all

while this may end up biting me in the ass...I'd say you should still apply. Cal is next door and you never know what could happen. Though chances seem small, if you get in after being 25% at cal then it's a no-brainer to transferSav wrote:Thanks! I guess I'll just stay where I am with such illustrious folks as you applying! Damn my 2nd sem grades
